GREAT, HIGHLY recommended.
This is much better than the Estes less expensive launch pad. It is solid, durable. You'll need to use a thinner launch rod than the one that is included for standard sized rockets . If you launch a lot of rockets, as I do with students you'll appreciate this item.

Robust, larger launch pad
Ease of set-up and disassembly, quite a bit more stable, with larger diameter launch pole, and it didn't break the bank.

A bit lightweight, but there is an easy fix.
The pad works as advertised. It has a few flaws, but they are easily overcome. First, it is a bit lightweight, but there is an easy fix for that. Just get a package of inexpensive metal tent pegs (the ones that are shaped like candy canes). drill a hole just slightly larger than the diameter of the pegs in the end of each of the launch pad's legs, and then push the pegs through the holes you drilled and into the ground below. The pad will be rock steady in anything short of a hurricane. I have launched 6' tall E-class rockets with this setup, and the pad was plenty steady. Remember, this is a "Porta Pad," the "Porta" is short for portable. You give up a bit of size/weight for convenience. The E Launch Pad has a large blast deflector, sturdy legs, and accepts different size launch rods. You can angle the rod to compensate for wind. Seriously, you get a LOT of launch pad for your money here. Are there better pads out there? Sure. Are they cost effective? That's in the eye of the beholder. You can spend $120-200 and get an elevated pad that looks as impressive as all get out, but will it do a better job of launching your A-E class rockets? In my experience, the answer is no, not in any significant way. If you plan to launch larger rockets than E-class, then you might be well served getting a heavier, fancier launch pad. But for about 90% of the people who are casually involved in model rocketry, this pad will suit your needs without breaking the bank.

Sturdy launch platform
We got into building bigger rockets and needed a big launch pad. This one fit the bill perfectly. It handled my 6'6" high Estes Mean Machine with style. One piece of advice, toss the multi piece launch rod that comes with it and get a nice brass or steel rod from a hardware store that is the correct diameter. No joints to rip your launch lugs off!

Pay attention to the rod size
This thing is huge!!! I can't wait to launch some big boys off it. Be sure to buy a smaller rod for the average rocket...

Better than it looks in pictures.
Meant for larger Estes rockets and is good enough to do the job. Worth the money, but having a 1piece titanium launch rod to put in it makes it much better.

Awesome launchpad
Great and inexpensive option for larger rockets!

Are you wondering if this product is worth it?
This product gets the job done, it does not really go above and beyond on anything. But be careful with those rods. They are really easy to bend accidentally, they are stong vertically, not horizontlly. But a cool design I would recomend for a careful begginer looking to upgrade his current launch pad.

Very solid. Big wand. Do not fit regular shuttle

Well made launch stand works well for some of the larger rockets.
