HMKB12 Kickback Bass Combo Amplifier, 1x12"

I’ve been wanting to try a Hartke bass amp for a while. Finally, decided to purchase and I am extremely happy with it! I’ve used my solid, reliable 15” Fender TKO for over 25 years. The KB12 is less than half the weight of my old amp but packs plenty of power! I was reluctant going from a 15” to a 12”, but not an issue at all. I use my amp for small to mid size venues without running through mains most of the time. I just used my new KB12 in a church with around 150 people playing with a full band. It had plenty of low end and volume with room to spare. I got several compliments on the sound from my band and audience. Absolutely Love the variety of tones and clarity! If looking for a great amp for practice, small and mid size venues, don’t hesitate with this lightweight powerhouse. I will say, if playing large venues, or outdoors, you will want to use the direct output and run through house, or need a larger amp. This amp would probably lack the low end needed to fill a larger venue, depending on your style. It’s perfect for my use and so lightweight and portable! Would purchase again!!

I've had or tried just about every bass amp with a stack or combo over the last 55 years. I wish I'd had this KB15 45 years ago. It's brilliant, cut through the two guitars I work with in a Rolling Stones Tribute act, both seasoned guitarists couldn't belive the clarity and punch of it. It is a monster, I read on here that some guy said it had no punch?. Obviously his bass isn't up to much or he has no idea how to set up an amp for bass. Get one you definitely won't regret it.

My Hartke KB12 weighs as much as my practice amp, yet is 10x more powerful. You can use this amp in a club or bar and not get lost in the sound of a rock n roll band. So light to carry, and 500 watts!

Love this amp! I use it for small and medium size venues and it's got plenty of power to fill the space. It's tones is tight and warm, with almost no distortion at high volumes. It's light enough to carry in with one hand, which is very convenient for gigging small venues. It kind of looks like you're playing out of an old tv when it's not in the kickback position, so that always makes for funny conversation. Overall, this is a great amp for the price.

I bought one because I saw the bassist for Brit Floyd using one. It really delivers. I add a Tech 21 YYZ pedal and I have Geddy Lee all day.

Exactly what I was looking for. Light as a feather and more powerful than my Peavey MarkIV. Amazing sound for something so small. I love it. The price is right!

I love everything about this amp. Compact size, Great Power (Loud without distortion up to volume 8), versatile tone settings, articulate high end without the harshness of some tweeter type combos. This is not a tube amp but I am able to dial in some "Ampeg" type sounds by dialing up the contour control. Dialing the contour control back yields more modern "Jaco" style tones. The tone controls are very responsive. I wish there was effects send and return.... But for the price there is a lot of bang for the buck from this combo amp.

Amazing amp. Great range- crazy volume. I was worried about the top end sound quality with the 15inch speaker but it's not an issue at all. Fantastic sound.

This combo packs a punch, it’s light as a feather, crystal clear and powerful 500watts. I would recommend to amateur and pro’s alike.
