Works just as I hoped.

This product is easy to mount and very functional with great tips in the instructionsI was a little disappointed in the mounting hardware so I substituted more substantial lag screws for the screws providedProviding better lag screws for mounting would make this a six star recommendation

Lots of issues with this product.1. The internal hanging rack was not mounted to be level.2. A piano hinge screw was installed at an angle so that it was too close to the edge causing the exterior to break.3. The door closure roller was mounted at a different elevation than the latch plate making it inoperable.4. The door closure roller was mounted too far from the edge of the door and could not be adjusted enough to mate with the latch (even if they were both at the correct height).5. Installation instructions are to install the mounting screws at the center which cannot be done at the bottom due to the board support rod.6. When lowered the tip of the ironing board was 1 ½” higher than the rear of the ironing board (not level).Basically, all of the internal mounting screws appeared to have been haphazardly installed by eye without using a template or measurements – just sloppy work.

I wanted the convenience of a hideable ironing board, so I'll accept the small size. However, had I not had some knowledge of tools and construction, I wouldn't have been able to mount this product. First, the manual included was for a different model (the cut into the wall version with shelves), and there was no indication as to where to insert the screws. In the product video, it shows one screw at the top center, but without a pilot hole, the wood would split. Good thing I know how to do that. Also, the small roller meant to hold the door closed was too far away to catch, so I had to drill/remount that pretty important part, too.In the end, it feels sturdy enough that I am comfortable it won't fall apart while I'm using it, but if that does happen, I probably won't be repurchasing this item or another wall mount. Traditional ironing boards may be a pain to continually close up and put away if you like a super-tidy workspace, but ive now learned they are much larger and ultimately more efficient .
