It's Great

I am working on a project that needs to be mounted on a DIN rail and this takes care of the Arduino Uno. It's a great piece of hardware that puts the terminals right where they need to be for easy and attractive wiring. I can't think of anything negative to say about it...it's that good! If you are considering it but are hesitant because you aren't sure it is what you want, take the plunge and buy it. You won't be disappointed.

As expected

The DIN rail mounts would seem concerning being plastic but they’ve survived well over a few months and at least half a dozen removal and replacement. I would buy this again… screw terminals are also middle of the road decent.

Works perfect

Very good shield. Terminals are cage style unlike some others that just use a bent metal tab which does not release wires easily when screw is backed off.

Works as advertised!

Locks on tight to the rail I'm using. Holds the board with a decent height profile. All in all worked just like it should with no issues.

Nice terminal block to connect external devices, ICSP header is relocated

This is a nice and sturdy mount with quality terminal blocks to mount an Uno board into a project box or enclosure using a standard DIN rail (DIN rail is separate). Your Uno will be upside down so you won't have access to the board and the ICSP header has been relocated and you'll need to solder a 2x3 pin header to use it. You still have a reset button and a 2.5mm power connector available. They did a really nice job of labeling each terminal and it seems like each pin has been broken out. If you don't require a DIN this board is a bit bulky and will be hard to work with, but it's a great heavy duty mounting option if you have the space to accommodate DIN hardware.

Nice solid rail mount

Delivery on time, nice solid rail mount, board fits perfectly fine.

A professional grade Arduino Uno Din mount

You might ask, "Why would you spend more on a mount than the Arduino Uno board cost?"That is a valid question. Arduino boards are an amazing resource, they make building microprocessor driven projects simple and relatively easy. The Arduino foundation is the epitome of an "public benefit, open source" organization that has empowered an entire generation of makers. The platform is remarkable and the price of the boards is low due to the extraordinary efforts of the non-profit foundation that started and supports the technology. This Din mount is not subsidized, nor has it the unit potential of the Arduino boards, as such, you would expect a bit higher cost. I'm not sure the current price at the time of this review of $31.00 is warranted, but what I will say is, if you are looking for a professional grade Din mount for an Arduino board, this mount delivers. This din mount is very sturdy, It consists of a heavy molded plastic structure, designed to attach to a standard Dim rail with an attached motherboard that accepts an Arduino Uno R3 board perfectly. The motherboard replicates all the UNO pins on 2mm screw sockets, which makes connections to the Arduino much better than the typical jumper wire connections of most prototype bread boards. The mount secures the UNO to an industry standard rail making it easy to integrate other industry grade components such as circuit breakers, relays, displays and the like. There is a huge array of din compatible devices, including cases of all shapes and sizes, that this mount makes accessible to the UNO for a easy to integrate, professional installation.I found this Din mount fit my genuine Arduino Uno R3s perfectly. The screw sockets use a 2mm flat-head screw that accepts wire from 16 to 26 gauge, which should handle any Arduino interface needs.Bottom line: If you are seeking to integrate an Arduino Uno into a professional platform, this board delivers.

good quality

I got this mostly because it's a nice breakout terminal block. Sometimes when I get an Arduino project working, I want to keep using it. Unfortunately, just using a breadboard connected to the Arduino using the standard jumpers is not very durable, and wires come loose too easily. For better durability, I like to replace jumpers with 22 Ga solid wire cut to length, which works well on the breadboard. I wanted to try this breakout terminal shield to ensure wires don't come loose from the Arduino. I don't really have a need for the rail mount capability so I can't review that feature. What I like:* the pins are clearly marked - much easier to read than the markings on my Arduino.* 22 Ga solid wire fits nicely into the terminal holes. Tightening the screws makes a very firm lock on the wire. The connection is solid.* The shield provides its own power LED and reset button, since you can't access the ones on the Arduino after it's plugged in.* the shield is very sturdy and well made.Other things:You can't see the RX and TX LEDs on the Arduino, which are sometimes nice to see. However, if needed it would be easy to add your own LEDs to pins 0 and 1Since I probably won't use the rail mount, the extra plastic on the shield is slightly awkward for my applications, but not a big deal.Overall, this is good. Glad I got it.
