The bluetooth can be finicky to get it to connect at first, but aside from that, it works great! No issues otherwise. It is superrr tight on the port though, can be difficult to remove. It works with plenty of cars other than bmw's too - bimmercode etc doesnt, but this has it's own app, obdlink connect, that allows usage and code reading from plenty of other cars. Works for our honda and toyotas. I highly recommend, esp for the price and universal support, as well as the major functionality boosts for bmw's and supras.

Works great able to code my car with zero issues. Great quality. Great value for the money. Superb Bluetooth connectivity . Basically code anywhere great.

The OBDLink CX works perfectly with Bimmerlink. I tried first with a generic wired connection and could not get bimmerlink to link. The OBDLink CX linked perfectly right at the start. It also enabled me to turn on Bimmerlink from my phone the next day without plugging the OBDLink CX back in because it is fine with staying plugged in at all times. OBDLink CX costs more than generic, but it works.

Vehicle: 2019 X5 40i G05 Installation is easy - just plug into the OBD port above your left shin (for left hand drive) I connected to the device with my Android phone. Included is a small instruction book for connecting to the device on your phone. You will need to install the app OBDLink. If your phone is connected to your car via bluetooth, disconnect from the car before attempting to connect in the OBDLink app. Connect in the app. Now, in order to do anything useful to your car, you will need to purchase either BimmerCode or BimmerLink (or both, depending on what you want to do). This is clearly stated in the description, but I had not really paid attention when I purchased the device: - MADE FOR BIMMERCODE and recommended by the BimmerCode Team (app sold separately) - ... - BimmerCode app not included in purchase price After connecting with the OBDLink app, then you can connect with either BimmerLink or BimmerCode. You do need to disconnect from your car's bluetooth whenever you want to connect to any of these apps. I had purchased this device mainly to open the exhaust flap, and in the end after purchasing both the device and the BimmerLink app, I have spent $105 to keep the exhaust flap open. Once purchasing both and opening the flap through BimmerLink, it was simple enough to pull the fuse F203 in the trunk fuse box. I was also interested in deactivating automatic start-stop, but unfortunately that setting is only available in BimmerCode, so I will need to pay this company another $45 to get access to that functionality. I don't understand why the two apps have two different sets of features, and each one costs $45, but that's the way it is. So be warned that if you want full functionality from this device, you will end up spending $150 for the device and both apps.

Connected to my BMW fast and had no issues pairing with the app. Small size so it stays out of the way. I used it for coding a few settings and the connection stayed stable the whole time. Feels well made and easier to use than cheaper scan tools I’ve tried.

I ended up ordering this because I misplaced my ODB enet cable I had been using for years. Ended up needing this for adding a new battery to my X5 and this was the fastest option on delivery. This was so easy to use with Bimerlink and a simple bluetooth connection that I will never go back to fumbling with the old school cable and dongles even though it served me well.

Ordered and received it same day - Amazing! The OBDLink CX adapter is an outstanding device — hands down the best coding tool for any BMW owner. I purchased mine for my 2011 BMW E90 to code DRL angel eyes, adjust various features, and clear unwanted codes using the BimmerCode app. It performed flawlessly with zero interruptions. I truly recommend this product — an absolute must‑have for anyone doing their own BMW coding.

Works great with ABRP updating battery status constantly

The product comes with a free obdlink software that allows you to create gauges to monitor your car. It’s very versatile. Connection to the obdlink cx is easy and quick. To code your car, you will need the BimmerCode(paid version). The free version only allows u to read, but not amend the code. Coding is quite simple. It auto creates backup for u. For Mini Cooper, can disable active sound, enable sports mode on engine start, disable auto start stop, enable air con circulation to last use memory & auto fold side mirrors on key lock and comfort access(pressing the lock button on door handle for 2secs). And so much more
