Great tool that need a few things to change its full potential. It’s short of a Rebel/boosted but you can always upgrade the motor on the main website and upgrade to the slim deep tooth cutter then it’s pretty much the same. So, The only different is the motor and the slim deep tooth cutter. 200rpm and just a hair torque less than the Rebel but without the loud buzz. I tried several modifications. The Philthy blendz mod that comes with it does not come with the cam follower for the andis master cutting blade. So your top blade wiggles around making bad fades. Unless you pay 45 dollars more through Philthy blendz website for the cam follower which I don’t see the value in that. Unless, you’re a Andis Master fan, it’s actually better than the cordless master as it has better battery life, lighter, and not having the master loud buzz after some usage. But if you do, get the one for stretch bracket and cam follower. The one that comes with this one is not a stretch bracket so it’s not a full open like the master. The stretch bracket that comes with this product is ONLY for Wahl style blades. The guards are not good. The 0 guard feels like Wahl 1 guard. The 1 guard feels like a 1.5 Wahl. So for those of you who like the Wahl .5 and 1.5 guard, it will throw your fades off. So I threw them away and use Wahl type guards. Both the Wahl premium and standard guards fit. The shallow tooth that comes with it will cut ALL kids and people with sensitive skin. The shallow tooth cutter will not make your fades blurry. If you buy this, toss out the faper blade and shallow tooth cutter, use Wahl, Babyliss, JRL, or similar type blades. Because stock, I found it useful only for clipper over comb and debulk only with guards. The gold deep tooth cutting blade that comes with it make it run slower because it’s a lot thicker like the cutting blades you get with the Wahl super taper. It is meant for taper blades. So if you are planning to use the faper blade, buy the deep tooth cutter. If you are planning to use the gold cutting blade, buy the taper still blade. Conclusion, Alpha was created for experimenting. But once you know how to work out the small modifications, it is the only rotary motor you can find with 7000 rpm and 4 hour usage. But why the 5 stars? It’s 4 hour use, can use any type of Wahl/Babyliss/JRL blades and cutters, and come with a charging stand.

Great set of clippers for beginners. The blades cut very well without struggle. I love the blue casing, but all the colors look very nice. Good quality set of clippers and accessories.

It's amazing how much Gamma+ & StyleCraft include with their clippers (box is excellent); can finish most modifications within minutes of unboxing. Some of the parts I will not be using but at least a few are worth keeping. Charge time is good, runtime is very long. The motor is adequate for fading & tapering. Clipper takes a long while to get hot & even then it does not feel as hot as a Wahl. The user can actually swap the lever; 2 of them are for click adjustments while the third is for traditional, smooth adjustment. The included guide combs are great. With the default modified bracket installed the user can install any blade that fits; I will probably be keeping the blade as is but with the "gold" titanium cutter installed. The only cons of this great purchase is the lack of power & or tension I've noticed a few times, which isn't terrible unless it disrupts performance long-term; the other issue is the blades were rash-inducing for the first few uses, with both cutters. After inspection & sterilization the blades gradually performed better. They no longer induce irritation, but this is the first clipper that's caused such a reaction. Nevertheless I will be keeping this clipper as it really does increase one's productivity. I also enjoy the trimmers released by Gamma+ & StyleCraft.

The 5-click lever system is actually only a 4-click functioning system. The lever on this StyleCraft Absolute Alpha will get stuck between 4th & 5th click and will not stay in the fully open position. I am highly disappointed in StyleCraft because of this issue. Unfortunately, you can’t re-do first impressions! Quality Control has to do better before letting something like this slide! 9/20/21 Edit I have made contact with Gamma+/StyleCraft and I explained my issue I was having with my clippers. I spoke with a representative via email. I was instructed to loosen the lever screw and to utilize the floating lever instead. However, I purchased these specifically for the click lever & 4 hour run time. I did not get the lever situation corrected but I was sent a couple gifts for the inconvenience. I love these Dub Magnetic Guards though. Very secure fit!!!

Its great except during daily professional use the colour of the casing rubs off, but aside from that ive had them for 1 year and theyre still doing great (and im very bad at maintaining them too)
