GHIRARDELLI Mocha Hot Cocoa Mix, 10.5 OZ (6 Bags)

We love this mix. It says on the package that it's good for 10+ servings but if you don't like to eat pure sugar, it lasts way longer. Our recipe for a large mug is 1 heaping tsp of this mix + 1 heaping tsp of Nescafe + 1/2 mug milk + 1/2 mug water, which is then microwaved to make homemade mocha. We also use the mix, Nescafe, milk and crushed ice to make frappes in a Ninja blender. The mix has stuff that works well to volumize the frappe and make it creamier.

The best, hot or cold. The subtle coffee flavor enhances the deep chocolate flavor. Makes a great frozen frappe (If you enjoyed the frappe at the Lobster place in the fall - this is the stuff!) or hot cocoa, with rich flavor.

Will be using some of these as presents and of course, keeping some for us to have on hand. Product mixes well with milk.

As to the flavor my wife and I love Ghirardelli mocha. It is sweet enough that when I add it to coffee there is no need to add any other sweeteners such as sugar, but the sweetness is not overpowering. I like only a little sweetness in my coffee so this works perfectly for me. If you need more sweetness just add some sugar. I have used this product for years and never been disappointed. To my taste buds, the flavor remains consistent over the years, too. As much as I like coffee I have had a long time preference for the mocha flavor over plain coffee, and the Ghirardelli has been my favorite as it seems the best blend of chocolate and coffee flavor. I tried just putting chocolate (cocoa) powder to coffee but it made the coffee taste more like candy than coffee. The Ghirardelli allows the original coffee flavor to come through. I deducted one star because I think that the value to price is diminishing due to the significant increases in pricing over the past year. If the price keeps going up I fear I may be priced out of continuing to use this great product. So far, I can get approximately a month from 6 packets in around 3 cups of coffee per day. though your mileage may vary depending on how much you prefer to add to your coffee. I suggest that if you can, buy the 6 packet product over individual packets since it is much more cost effective. For the record, while I use this in coffee, you certainly can keep it simple by using it in hot milk, hot water, etc.

I originally got the package of GHIRARDELLI Mocha Hot Cocoa Mix, 10.5 oz Bag (6 bags) to give as Christmas Stocking Stuffers. I tried some and I liked it so much I decided to keep two of the multiple serve bags for myself. One think I like about this is the fact that I can adjust the strength get it just right. I usually mix the powder with half and half instead of milk to give it a creamier flavor. I will be buying some more when I use up the packages I have. It has a mild moca flavor that doesn’t overpower the chocolate flavor and I think it’s a good combination. I picked this because it isn’t filled with chemicals and preservatives like some other popular brands. Read the ingredients list before buying hot chocolate and you might be surprised to see the list of chemicals some companies put in their product. This one is a keeper.

LOVE this maybe dark chocolate to eat as is - the highlight of my morning every day, knowing that I'm satisfying my chocolate craving with not enough calories to care about and virtually no fat. THEY SHOULD ADVERTISE STATING THAT. Great in my suitcase also. I wish I could find it in a tub instead of bags (probably not for my suitcase!).

This listing is misleading. The product information and the title specifically say there are six bags for a third of the price that Ghirardelli sells them. I purchased this and only received one bag. I knew I was taking a risk given I could not return it and the price was too good to pass up, and that's on me, but I figured other people should know that the quantity they are purchasing is not accurate and this is way overpriced for a single bag.

What a yummy mocha combo of cocoa and coffee, just perfect for chilly nights before bed.
