Incredible sound and comfort
They're sorta pricey, but these sound better than anything I've ever purchased. And I've purchased some pretty expensive audio equipment. I don't feel that the bass is lacking either, I saw some reviews that stated the bass was weak. Trust me, if the song has bass, these iems are more than capable of reproducing it granted that you can create a decent seal. And you should be able to considering that they give you like 9 different eartips or something. I would recommend starting with the foam ones. Also very comfortable as the over the ear design does a great job of supporting the iems as they rest in your ear.

Overpriced Rubbish
Sound quality is decent but only marginally better than some much cheaper options. More importantly, they've mysteriously broke twice in less than a year. No sound whatsoever on one side. Not even the cord, as you'd expect, but the earpieces themselves are faulty. Low quality product, especially for the price. Would never buy Shure again.

Musicality
Audiophile level, just the right amount of bass , I used the foam tips , the yellow ones . I played Tidal to IFI Hip 3 DAC to these beauties. . I use at the gym to maximize my endorphins. And now I enjoy every minute of my workout of lifting weights.

Sound quality is so-so
I bought this as a replacement for my Bose in-ear wired earbuds (which broke, and Bose no longer sells in-ear wired earbuds). Compared to the older Bose earbuds, these have a crisper sound, but seem weak on the low end. With some music, it sounds almost tinny. Using an iPhone equalizer app helps, but I still prefer the Bose earbuds I can no longer get. My wireless Apple Airpods deliver a much fuller base sound than the Shure AONIC 3 wired earbuds. I just don't like to wear them biking, because I don't want one falling out while I'm on the road. For $200, I expected a much better sound. I've experimented with different earbud sleeves (they provide a lot of options) to see if it made a difference, but none that I can tell.

Truly delightful match for your music... NOT BLUETOOTH/WIRELESS out of the box.
First, let’s get this out of the way just to avoid any confusion: These are NOT wireless/Bluetooth headphones. You CAN pair them to Bluetooth devices IF AND ONLY IF you purchase MMCX Bluetooth cables or a bluetooth receiver such as one purchased from Fios. I say this because so many mobile devices have ditched a headphone jack. If you can’t live with this limitation, best to keep looking. Still reading? Great! These are simply a terrific set of in-ear headphones. The sound is so crisp and incredibly detailed... you hear every nuance of your music... right down to hearing bowing changes from the violins. They are not bass heavy but very balanced so the highs are heard without sounding shrill. If you are listening to classical music like I am, you’ll also appreciate the soundstage so that you can hear violins to your left, cellos to your right and winds/brass center stage. But you prefer modern music, you say? These will not disappoint. Guns and Roses (ok, probably still not considered TRULY modern but it’s all relative!) still has plenty of oomph and power. These make everything sound “true” and “real” regardless of whether you’re listening to Elvis Costello or Rage Against The Machine. Even Glenn Miller would be proud of his work while listening with these. I initially tried them wired into my MacBook Pro and loved the sound immediately. However, I do like to have more mobility and most people aren’t going to spend this much money only to be tethered to their computer. I had a Sony Bluetooth receiver that is from 2013 and these sound very very good with that. Sadly, the Sony SBH20s are no longer made but FioS has stepped up to the plate to fill the audiophile equivalent. Haven’t tried it yet but the reviews look promising. In addition, it has come to my attention that Shure makes MMCX Bluetooth adapter cables so that you CAN turn these into true-wireless earbuds. These have detachable cords so that you won’t break the connection leaving you with a very expensive twist tie. In theory, the cords are designed to run up and over behind your ears. I just put them in normally and let them hang down in front because it takes too much fiddling to run them in back. The detachable cords can also be swapped out for MMCX bluetooth adapters so you can pair them with your favorite bluetooth device. The set comes with a variety of ear tips including their trademark triple flange tips. Finding the best fitting tip is crucial for getting the best sound from these (or ANY ) headphones. Too small or too large and they’ll sound like dollar store earplugs. You’ll know they are the right size when you can’t hear your kids yelling at you anymore. And as long as we are talking about ear tips, please make sure you wipe all the ear goo off both the earphones and you ears... trust me, you don’t want to get an ear infection that can occur otherwise. Many folks will wonder why spend this much on wired earbuds. Wired still sounds better. A 200-dollar set of wired ear buds would cost twice as much in a wireless version because of the extra equipment (batteries, Bluetooth receiver etc). Plus, with true wireless, it is too easy to lose one... and you have the issue of keeping the battery charged. Sometimes, simple is just better. [LCVR]

Beware uneven quality and unbelievably substandard customer service
Shure is a well-regarded company and in the past I have enjoyed their products. If I could give this particular product a "zero" rating, however, that is what it would deserve. Three months after purchase, one of the earbuds suddenly lost all audio function (no accidental damage on my part). I returned the unit to the company--this itself proved to be a rather more laborious process than other companies offer--and a few weeks later the unit was returned with an accompanying invoice suggesting (but not stating explicitly) that the unit had been repaired. The device was still under warranty, mind you. The one good thing about the experience is that I was at least not charged for the alleged repairs (though of course I had to pay the return shipping charge). In fact, the unit I received was in worse condition after the time it spent in Shure's service shop. The port to the damaged earbud is now visibly broken (beforehand the damage was undetectable to the naked eye), so evidently a technician's hands did in fact come in contact with the unit, but it looks as if the job was left unfinished and no one did an inspection to clear the unit for return. I will NEVER buy another Shure product.

The Aonic 3 is a one driver headphone that I really like - I use them all day for work. They have absolutely magical mids and non fatiguing highs. They dont hurt my ears from using them all day and they have zero sibilance at higher volumes. They fit great and are a very safe buy - fit wise. The loops that go around the ears are really high quality, much better than the loops of the old 215s, and more solid than the loops of the Sennheisers Ie300 which bounce back and are annoying. You will not constantly have to readjust the loops of the Aonic 3's. If you want a non fatiguing earphone that you can use all day, this one is for you. It will surprise you with the mids. WARNING: Do not get this headphone if you are using Spotify, as the dynamic range in the codec will make these sound like they have no bass and something missing. They do have bass if you use Tidal or Apple music.

I am still breaking these headphones in, but so far they sound great - clear throughout the frequency range. They are also more efficient than all of my other headphones, so work with headphone connections which don't have the highest output. They are exceptionally light and comfortable. I am using the memory foam pads that they were supplied with, and they fit perfectly and give a good seal if i squish them before inserting them.

Superb sound and extremely comfortable fit. I have this paired with a Fiio M11s audio player, and also use the Shure TW2 wireless adaptors and the sound is extremely good. Only negative is that I do need to crank the Fiio up to almost full volume, but the sound is incredible. Only thing that sometimes annoys me is the wire, or the TW2 adaptor, and the way they go over the ear. Can be a bit fiddly, but the reason is clear as to why as it helps create a perfect seal in the ear, so they are comfortable and sound great. Definitely go with the Foam tips that they supply as the Foam creates a better seal than the silicon tips and the sound is improved as a result
