Buy THIS don't buy THAT (Dremel) so much better
Wow... So I got on the app to find a new handheld rotary tool.... I saw this in my search results, despite it not being cordless. Having purchased it before, the date of previous purchase was June 2020.... I thought about it for a second. Since then....... I've been through 4 Dremel stylo 3 of the comparable sized corded Dremel tools as well... Along with various brands of handheld ones. You know which one is still working??? Yup this one... I had to go through my old orders and come back to write a review. I recall at the time I bought it I was really worried about it being "as good as" a high end brand. Please. As good as?? This blows them out the water. After SEVERAL Dremel brand rotary tools have made their way into the trash due to worn out motors, failed power switches, no longer staying straight as it rotates, and other issues due to wear. This tool still works beautifully. You'll get your money's worth and then some.

10 years and going strong. Great for crafts, household repairs, dogs nails, and more.
I bought one of these in 2016, and right out of the box I was very pleased. In fact, I came back and bought a second one right away, just in case, as a backup. Well it's now 10 years later, and the backup unit is still sitting brand new in its box. This suits my needs perfectly. Easy to change speed, and has handled everything I have thrown at it on either end of the spectrum. I use it for crafts, some minor home repairs, and to do my dog's nails. Prior to purchasing this unit, I had owned three rechargeable dremels, but I always ended up having battery issues, with their lifespan being much too short for my liking, and I was just tired of having to either get a new battery or a new machine. I'm so glad that I did,. I pretty much always use the attachment, and it was a game changer for me, especially when it comes to doing my dog's nails. Not only is it much easier and more comfortable to hold and maneuver, but also the sound of the motor is no longer right in there personal space, which they greatly prefer. I have a rolling stand that I hang it from, and it couldn't be easier. I just bought some attachments today to assist with my own pedicures, which is what made me say "I wonder if I ever even left a review for this machine?". I don't think you can go wrong for the price.

Good buy
It works very well, but the cutting discs are awful Thin and easy to break. Other than that, it is a great rotary tool.

Good rotary tool
Adjustable settings and flex shaft attachment is pretty durable. Easy to change bits or brushes. Comes with small variety of bits and stones for polishing and engraving. Nice storage case to keep everything together.

Phenomenal Value
Bought this $20 WEN rotary tool 7 years ago thinking it was disposable. It’s been dropped, overheated, caked in metal and plastic dust, and never cleaned once. Still works exactly like day one. Not fancy, not quiet, just stupidly reliable. For the price, it’s hard to beat.

Nice looking and sounding tool.
Arrived when stated. Didn't get a chance to use it yet, however, I plugged it in and checked out the speed and the overall package. Price is great and hope the product will hold up. I'm not that hard on tools so, I expect it to last a while.

The machine is a total waste. I bought this rotary tool on the 18th of April ‘18 and was delivered to me on the 24th of April ‘18. In one day of use, in which the usage was just to test the product, the below mentioned things have happened. 1. In 10 minutes of first time use, the sanding drum mandrel bent out of shape after immense vibrations. The sanding drum ripped apart while sanding a piece of soft wood. 2. The flex shaft which i installed as per the manual overheated and the wire melted away. 3. The cutting disk broke while in use and flew towards my face. Now i have a battle scar right below my lower lip. 4. There is sparking inside the machine. WEN industries should really look into these issues.

This is a good example of a generic rotary tool, and represents good value. But there's one important difference, and that is the thread size on the drive shaft. Original Dremel tools use a 0.28" shaft diameter, with a thread count of 40 TPI. This tool uses a metric value of approximately 8mm; and this means that any Dremel accessory intended to fasten directly to the rotating shaft - a miniature drill chuck, for example - will not fit. Adding to the frustration is that this specification isn't mentioned anywhere, with the result that you can easily wind up purchasing accessories that will fit a Dremel, but won't fit this. And indeed, that is what happened to me. So, a word to the wise: try to determine if the thread size of the shaft is compatible with original Dremel accessories. I can tell you that this tool is not. EDIT: Since writing this review, i have found two chucks on Amazon that will fit this rotary tool. Here are the links: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B019NYNLLI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and the genuine Wen rotary tool chuck, here: https://www.amazon.ca/2305-KC-Keyless-Rotary-Tool-Chuck/dp/B072LXHBHP/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=wen+rotary+tool+chuck&qid=1583980808&s=hi&sr=1-3 I purchased the less expensive one, and can verify that it works well. Given that this tool is supplied with a flexible shaft extension, the availability of this chuck probably means that there's no reason to avoid purchasing this tool as a result of incompatibility. The vast majority of accessories will fit in the jaws of this chuck, so with the addition of this chuck you basically sidestep the incompatibility issue.

- Poor bit quality. - Shaft and motor overheats very quickly - when using bits with a large diameter on low rpm, bit oscillation is very high. Hence unable to use. Could be dangerous even for power users.
