Brabantia Bo Step-On Pedal Trash Can - 16 Gal Inner Bucket (Matt Black) Waste/Recycling Garbage Can, Removable Compartment

A very attractive design for a trash / recycling bin - who would have thought that was possible. I am so very pleased with this bin. The lines are clean and it looks great in my kitchen. The soft close is a great addition to functionality. The 30L pails are large enough that I won't need to constantly empty it. It also came with 3 extra bin liners! So I can use it immediately while I wait for my bin liner order to come in. I had a Brabantia trash bin before that lasted years and is now relegated to the basement (still functional but looks a little long in the tooth). I'm looking forward to many years of use with this duo bin.

Perfect size and wonderful division to separate organic from recyclable. With the bags from bravantia life improves significantly.

Overall this a great trash can. It has what I was looking for: large-ish dual bins, a single lid, a foot pedal, easily removable cans when a bag is in, not too wide to fit at the end of my island without extending past, not too tall to cover an outlet that is placed there (I wanted the Barbantia on legs, but it would have blocked the outlet), and a matte black color. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it also locks open. That's not a feature I was expecting. I'm also glad it doesn't have an oversized lid with room for trash bag storage behind and can instead sit flush against the cabinets.. I haven't had it for more than a day so I can't speak to the longevity, but I can tell you that the first one came and had a large dent on one side of the pedal and a smaller one on the other. All of the packaging was in great condition. The second one came and has a small dent on one side and a larger dent on the back. I was inclined to return this, too, because for this amount of money I think it's OK to expect the can to be in good, non-dented, condition. However, because I wasn't able to find another can that met my needs, my husband found that both dents were easy enough to push out. The one on the side is nearly undetectable (you'd have to know to look for it) and the one on the back is now just small. Since it's in the back, we're living with it. The Amazon 13 gallon kitchen bags fit, but might be a smidge shallow. I am using a large rubber band to secure it around the rim and also cinching it so that there isn't loads of plastic bag sticking out everywhere. We're making that work instead of buying special bags. In the end, I'd buy another, but be prepared to buy a few to get one without dents. This seems to be true for many buyers as I read it in many reviews but hoped I'd be one of the lucky ones. I wasn't.

I initially was hesitant when buying this trash can, but once I received it and started using it, that went away. The quality in design and materials is noticeable. I even switched to their brand of trash bags. The can is easy to operate, foot pedal is broad. The inner bin holds the bag and is easy to pull out so no making a mess. The bags are heavier material and don't rip when you lift them out. I def recommend this can.

This is the second can I’ve purchased from this company. 1st one still useful after 10 years I just wanted a style change. New one Arrived with no damage or problems.

DO NOT ORDER - Item arrived damaged. Seller does not pay full shipping for returns (only covers 1/10 of shipping - which were equal to cost of product (200$) even though product damaged. Box wasn’t damaged which means they sent a defective product KNOWING. So upset because we were so excited about the trash can that we splurged on and had been looking forward to it’s arrival and now we’ve paid 500$ for a defective trash can.

It's big, and consequently difficult to ship without damage. Fortunately the vast majority of the damage was on the back side that faces the wall. Other than that initial disappointment it's a garbage can. I thought, that at that price it should be perfect. But what are the odds of a replacement arriving any less damaged, or being damaged in a more visible place ... so we'll live with it. If it wasn't a gift for someone who generally asks for nothing, I wouldn't have bought it. Do I sound ambivolent? I am. We generate too much waste in America without our garbage cans becoming more wasteful themselves.

■我が自治体は生ゴミは週２回。4人家族の家でしたら、十分ゴミが入り切る量だと思う。うちの場合今は夫婦2人だけなので、逆に少し大きすぎた感があるぐらい。。。 自治体指定のゴミ袋は30Lと45Lがあるが、30Lのゴミ袋では小さすぎてゴミ箱に引っかからないので使用不可。仕方なく45Lのゴミ袋を使用（45Lでもギリギリ）している。ですので、ゴミ袋の大きさには注意が必要。 ■30Lから45Lの大きさのゴミ箱を探していたが、やはり縦長の高さがあるものばかり。。。うちはカウンターの下にゴミ箱を設置したかったので、ずっと横長のゴミ箱を探していたが。。。。2ヶ月近くかかってやっと、高さ低めのこの横長のゴミ箱を発見。横長のゴミ箱が欲しい人は、お値段少し高いですが、これ一択です。 ■これぐらいのお値段を出せば、現在は 自動オープンのゴミ箱が主流ですが、壊れて開かなくなったとか、誤動作が多いとかの話をよく聞くので、ペダル式のこのゴミ箱はその点安心。しかもペダルが幅広なので、間違いなく踏めます。 ■見た目は清潔なシルバーできれいな作り。プラスチックの内箱がある２重構造なので、臭いニオイは全く漏れない。なにより良いのは、ペダルを離すと、ゆっくり蓋が閉じること。なので閉じた時の音がほとんどしない。いいゴミ箱に当たりました。 唯一の弱点は、ゴミ袋を出すとき、内箱を一旦ゴミ箱から外に完全に出してからでないと、うまくゴミ袋を出すことができないこと。この点は少し面倒ですが、まあ週に２回のことですし、これは致し方なし。。。と思っています。

Ich mochte das Design des Brabantia Mülleimers, fand den Preis aber zu teuer. Über die Amazon Seite war die Retourenware eine gute Alternative. In der Beschreibung war die Delle an der Seite dokumentiert und wir wollten uns darauf einlassen. Der Mülleimer wurde in der Originalverpackung (sogar mit 3 Müllbeuteln) geliefert und hatte nur eine leichte Beule an der Seite. Durch die Farbe und die Position ist diese aber kaum sichtbar! Wir freuen uns einen so stylischen und hochwertigen Mülleimer erhalten zu haben! Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Un excellent produit qui allie esthétisme et praticité pour une gestion des déchets très efficace ! Niveau capacité, elles est optimisée. Les deux bacs de 30L permettent un tri efficace des déchets sans prendre trop de place. Concernant la pedale, elle est très pratique. L’ouverture est fluide et permet une utilisation hygiénique, sans contact direct. Quant à la fermeture, elle est super silencieuse et le couvercle se referme en douceur, évitant les bruits gênants. Un grande satisfaction concernant le côté hermétique car aucune odeur ne s’échappe, ce qui est un vrai plus pour la propreté et le confort. Enfin l'entretien est super facile. Les matériaux sont simples à nettoyer, ce qui garantit une bonne hygiène au quotidien. Je tiens à remercier aussi la petite attention en plus de fournir quelques sacs poubelles. Je recommande et ça change vraiment le quotidien.

Ich verwende den Abfalleimer für Plastik und Papier. Alles prima verstaut und optimal aufgeräumt. Noch dazu schieht er schick aus und wirkt sehr elegant.

Well packaged on arrival, classy bin that just blends in! Yes the bin is expensive but if you look around most bins of this quality and size are a similar price. So definitely think it’s worth it, the pedal is long and strong and can’t see it breaking like others in the past. Also would like to mention there is a lock on the inside which may be handy for people with children as I know my nephew would find his way into the bin if he could! Good size for rubbish, we actually have integrated bins from b and q in our kitchen cupboard and they are so small and impractical. Great bin! Additionally, other bins have a silver handle in the middle so you can only put the bin liner over it which makes it awkward but these have finger hole / ridges to pull each compartment up. Very helpful.
