Zinus Shalini Upholstered Platform Bed

Super sturdy. So easy to put together even I could do it at 69 on my own and never having been able to previously! It looks great feels great and I love it and am so happy I took the chance. Received really good and clear instructions and a thank you card from yeh company. I have never bought an item this big off Amazon but I will be happy to in future. Great value I love the fact it doesn’t have any end.headboard comfy and so amazing how it comes packed in the headboard! Thank you !

I dont do review's very often but this bed justified a very good review. Ive had bed in the past that i have had to assemble and its been an absolute knighmare! This bed is so straight forward to set up, i was actually enjoying it by the end😆 Easy clear instructions, and all tools included. As others have reviewed i thought i was sent only a headboard at first but the whole bed is neatly and tightly packed inside the headboard (it is heavy) Its feels to be a very reasonable quality for the price and really looks good when its all put up, all in all a very good purchase and all the other reviews are right, its just a very good bed at a very reasonable price. This bed is outstanding, believe the reviews. I changed my squeaky annoying bed frame for this bed frame and it's just amazing. Very sturdy, no noise at all and so easy to build. I built it by myself. It even makes my mattress feel more comfortable than my old bed frame. No complains.

Bought this for my loft room but the headboard was too chunky for my sloping roof in room. I am pleased with it though and will probably swop it over with my other single bed from downstairs. It was easy to put together and came with the relevant tools. Imanaged to do it myself. I would recommend buying it.

I wish I would have bought this in August! I bought a cheaper metal framed bed in August and it's now gone to the tip! This bed frame is superb. Well designed and seems to be well made. You buy cheap , you buy twice.

I had some reservations about this as it seemed too good to be true. However, took me about half an hour to build, and I am pleasantly surprised by how good it is. Absolute bargain and quality item.

Well thought out design. It came all packed in the headboard, most of the bolts were already placed in so no fiddly thread finding. Feels so strong and surprisingly also light to move compared to my old bed which was unmovable. All the hard work is done down to the slats being spaced with velcro. A very handy wrench tool and traditional alan key was supplied also. Putting this bed together on my own was easy and went with no hitches. The design is done well and I didn't see any ripped fabric or rough edges, everything was neat and tidy. Came packed well. All this and it was an absolute bargain I am very happy with my purchase.

read the reviews before purchasing and thought, wow 55+ people raving about this. Got to buy it. The pieces are all tucked neatly inside the headboard. It comes with all the tools you need to assemble. I wanted something I could do myself (I don’t ever build furniture) and it only took me 37 minutes from start to finish. The directions are very easy to understand the the hardware was very sturdy (ie no stripped screws). There is velcro that holds the slats in place. My mattress is a bit higher than I would have liked as it takes away from the headboard, but it looks so great. You could store your millions of dollars in the back of the zippered headboard, too. I will definitely be buying more Zinus products in the future. Excellent quality for a great price. I paid $246 for a king. Buy it now, if it’s available that is! UPDATE 29 SEPTEMBER 2018: This bed is amazing. I moved houses with it, all the pieces fit nicely in the headboard and it was easy to set up again. I have a cat, and she hasn't made any claw marks - good craftsmanship. 5 stars all around!! (Shipping, now this isn’t the manufacturers fault, but I ordered on Amazon Prime, Feb 13 and I was to received it Feb 19-21. I contacted them after the date and am told it’s sold out but I would get it as soon as it comes in. It was shipped overnight on March 1 and I received it March 2. Worth the wait!)

I read every single review that I could for this frame. I measured like crazy thinking the headboard wouldn't be high enough. I also almost cancelled by order as I went back and read 1 star reviews and a lot of them mentioned bed bugs (all from the states) and when I went to cancel it was too late since it had been shipped. When I received it I inspected everything for bugs. I then left it in the garage for a couple of nights and inspected it every single day. Finally decided ok let's put it together. Assembly was so easy and took maybe half an hour between my partner and I (with a 3 year old and 9 month old "helping") everything lined up and looked great. We put our king size endy mattress on and it looked perfect. When I sat on the bed I heard a bit of squeaking and my partner said just wait a couple days and it will go away everything just needs to settle. He was right. 2 days later the squeaking was gone. This bed makes no noise at all. It has been about 3 weeks the bedframe is in our room and still no signs of bugs. Everything looks great and feels great. I feel like the frame is 5 stars but put 4 so I can give an update in a year. Fingers crossed it holds up well!

I am blown away by this thing - we got a King which was around $300 and the quality is unbelievable for that price. Dead simple to build - I built it alone in about 30 minutes, and it was extremely easy even with the large King sized pieces. They even include an all-metal Allen key ratchet wrench which makes quick work of everything. Hardware comes well organized with an inventory list, and instructions are simple and clear. All fasteners are proper bolts, not screws, and all bolts go into metal threads in the various frame pieces, not wood. Excellent. Also, the bolts seemed to be decent quality and did not have the oily manufacturing residue you often find on cheap hardware. Some extra/spare hardware was included as well. The slats are tied together and Velcro down to the top of the bed frame so they do not move, and that also makes them easy to install precisely. Distance between the slats is about 3.5 inches so they are OK to use with most memory foam mattresses. We use it with a Casper Hybrid (foam + coils) and it doesn't bulge through, nor does it void the mattress warranty due to slat width. If you're worried about this, you can throw some cardboard, hardboard, or 1/4" plywood on top of the slats before putting your mattress on it. With a 12 inch tall mattress on it, there is not too much headboard showing, maybe 16 inches or so - you do no want to be using a box spring, nor is this bed designed for one. Fabric is decent quality and the bed is very sturdy. The headboard does not move independent of the frame if you shake it (one of my quality tests while we were shopping). It has a slight manufacturing smell to it, typical of any new product that has fabric/foam and I expect it to dissipate soon. If that is something that bothers you, just leave the parts out for a couple days before assembly so it can fully off-gas. There is a handful of reviews from 2018 that mention bed bugs, but we did did not notice anything (I checked meticulously with a flashlight), and I highly suspect that was an isolated incident based on the thousands of other positive reviews. It's also -30C outside where I live right now, so if any bugs were in the box, they died on my doorstep haha. The bed arrives with all pieces and hardware packed entirely into the headboard, secured behind a zippered compartment that makes for good "secret" storage after the fact. Everything was well protected by cardboard and Styrofoam. We're going to buy a queen version for the spare bedroom, because at this price they can't be beat. We looked at a lot of bed frames in the $500-1000+ range at various mainstream furniture stores and this one is at least as good if not better than anything we saw under $1000. The cost/quality ratio is off the charts in my opinion.
