I bought one of these several years ago under a different brand name, but it is identical to this one. Its a really handy device for planting large seeds like corn, beans, squash, watermelon and such. People complain there are no instructions. That is because the only thing you can do with it is to change the roller that advances the seeds to use a larger or smaller seed. The video shows exactly how to do this. Well, you can actually change the depth the seed is deposited, by removing two screws on the foot and repositioning the foot. I plant beans and such at about 1 inch and the way it comes is set just right for this. No need to change. So, the instructions issue is really not a big deal. Watch the video. Now as to quality and functionality, it works just fine for large seeds and for fertilizer. I put a pound of 10 10 10 in the hopper and give four shots around a tomato plant about six inches away from the stalk. Same for flower bed, bushes, etc. It measures out the fertilizer and puts is slightly under the soil so it can soak in.Durability.... well, its pretty good, but the screws and springs are just lightly plated and will rust if you don't keep it clean and dry. I put a bit of lancote on everything metal and it keeps it in good shape.Now value... Hey, these are available for $31 ant that's a bargain if you value your back and your sleep. Saves a lot of bending over or crawling around on your knees. I use mine mostly for fertilizer and it well worth the money.

Looks like a great product, but came with no instructions so I don’t have a clue how to use it. Trying to find something similar on YouTube to watch how to video, but not having any luck so far.
