3M CP45R Generation II Projector Camcorder with HD Recording, 1x Optical Zoom and 2.4-Inch LCD Screen (White/Red)

I really like this item. I'm doing a research writing on whales and went to SeaWorld with this camera as a back up to my other camera. This camera really does film well, and the projection is nice and wide and immediate by the use of the touch control buttons. I've had no problems, at all. The pictures/video and sound are nice and clear, considering I'm filming whales. The color is fine, and the zoom is fine. It is a nice compliment to my Canon SX170, and I will continue to use this camera in my research.

I gave it 4 starts because for the price, features and size I can't ask for more. Unless I want to be picky and complain for something that the product itself has no fault, because as of today it has served me well. You ever read a review and people go off on everything they wished their product had but refused to pay for the product that does have all the bells and whistles and take it out on the product they bought? Those r people who just love to complain. I just want to say that everything that was offered to me on the 3M shoot and share worked well and I enjoy it very much. It always grabs the attention of family members during family functions when I display the photos or videos w the projector. If you follow directions and use logic, which most people don't, you won't be disappointed. I didn't give it a 5 start because I wish the battery lasted longer but that doesn't mean I'm disappointed, just wished for it. I would most definitely recommend this product.

I recently purchased this product and it is awesome. I originally purchased it to take to Jamaica, but I use it for everything. I recorded field day, birthdays, family gatherings...etc. It is wonderful!!!

guess I got a defective one . main issue is the projector function . I think it is best for photos . the brightness was better than expected & color was good . when I connectd a video source using the mini av plug it was very unstable ,had to push & wiggle the plug but the signal would not stay stable . also the touch/press button to turn on projector was defective .had to push it about 10 times using various pressure to get to come on . when playing a external video source it became almost too hot to touch . external video seemed to washed out & hard to get any sharp focus . on all of my negative issues I did adjust various setting such as keyboard sensitivity etc. the concept for this is great but needs a lot of work .would have preferred regular rca connector inputs . hopefullyi just got a dud .I am returning it asap . I am a little miffed that I have to pay the return shipping cost but I will not complain too much . amazon has been really good to me in the past .. I am a amazon prime member & would suggest amazon waive return shipping cost for prime members as a perk.. amazon could probl sell more memberships if they did

This thing is the best HD Camcorder available. I purchased the white with red accents and it works excellenty. First off it comes equipped with a light which seves excellent for shooting videos and still in total darkness. I am still yet to come across any other pocket HD Camcorder that has built in light for low let alone ZERO light shooting. This feature alone won me over. The ability to project your videos and photos onto just about any surface and view them is another winner for me. No need to wait until you get home to connect to your TV. It is extremely easy to use as the functions and layouts are VERY user friendly. It shoots max 720P HD with other lower video settings available. OK, Go ahead and split hairs over 1080P Vs 720P. How many persons can tell the difference? Besides if you are gonna complain about the CP45R being only 720P then you best upgrade to a professional grade unit. The price appears somewhat steep but you are paying for a still camera, an HD Camcorder and a projector all in one. The built in mic seems to pick up all the back ground sounds and noise and you can hear it all during play back on the unit's built in speaker. I won't consider this a negative as it could just be that the mic is built sensitive to capture all sounds.Last year I gave my wife the Kodak Zi8 for Christmas and this 3M CP45R is light years ahead of it - IN MY HUMBLE OPINION!! A week before buying this 3M CP45R I bought the Sony Bloggie Touch (4 Hour Version)for my self and it is still in the box - unopened!! Thhis 33M CP45R is compact and portable - ideal for presentations, vacations, on the go fun, parties, just about any function at all. I would recommend it to anyone. Great job re the on time delivery by Amazon - AS USUALI bought this case on Amazon and the Camera sits perfectly inside it: Case Logic Portable EVA Hard Drive Case QHDC-101 (Red)UPDATESo after six months, the unit suddenly failed to power up. It never fell or got wet. It just failed.
