The base game here is already great, and this standalone set that can be used as an expansion is just as good. Comes exactly as described and can be learned rather quickly. Any rule clarifieds needed in game are readily found online.

This card game is a blast to play, combining strategy with fun Marvel themes. The characters are well-designed, and the gameplay is easy to learn but still challenging. Perfect for game nights with friends and family!

Was able to get this product for much cheaper than retail, but the box came with unexpected heavy damage to one side. The actual cards and game were in perfect condition, and I love the factions and gameplay design. The artwork on the cards is simply copied from preexisting comic books instead of using original illustrations, which clashes somewhat with the established Smash Up style.

Smashup has been around for a while now but if you’re a Marvel Hero/Villain fan this game is the easiest to play without boring you to death. I personally think that the digital card game, Marvel Snap, borrowed many of the same ideas for that game which is also pretty good. Simple, fast and mildly challenging but you won’t go wrong here.

SHIELD and Hydra are a match made in heaven in this game—who'da thunk it? There are lots of great new factions in here to play with, very nice shiny artwork on all of the cards, and a few comic book illustrations that I recognize (they have my favorite Tony Stark nameplate art from Marvel's Avengers in here, also originally from the comics. ♥) I got this for myself with a gift card I got for Christmas, and I've gotten hours of fun out of it already. It's an interesting combo with the Cease and Desist pack!

Primeiro de tudo, importante para brasileiros, comprei o jogo, que infelizmente (a depender de seu grupo de jogo) está todo em inglês, como para mim e meus amigos isso nao é um problema comprei apenas com um receio: é uma compra internacional. Particularmente em meu caso o jogo chegou dentro do prazo MAXIMO da entrega padrão, ou seja, passou mais de 7 dias na alfandega esperando a aprovação. Isso é o unico motivo para dar 4 e nao 5 estrelas, o produto em si é otimo (falo mais abaixo) porém a amazon nao disse que o produto chegaria dentre uma faixa de dias (dia 1 a dia 6), ela disse que chegaria em um dia específico (dia 1), o jogo nao ter chegado atrapalhou meu planejamento. Apenas apos entrar em contato com a amazon me foi dito o limite máximo para entrega (dia 6), dito isso, ele de fato chegou dia 6. PORÉM, é necessario dizer que a empresa que faz a entrega no Brasil, que nao é a propria amazon, demorava muito para atualizar a situacao do produto. Quando o recebi (dia 6) no site da transportadora dizia que ele ainda nem havia saido para a entrega. No fim tudo ocorreu bem, porém saibam que essa é uma dor de cabeça possivel Quanto ao jogo, inicialmente é importante ressaltar que essa expansão funciona como stand-alone, ou seja, voce NAO PRECISA DO JOGO BASE. Dito isso, novas facções, novas interações, novas cartas, e a mesma qualidade do smash up de sempre, isso por si só ja é otimo para dar uma nova vida pros jogos de smash up, ainda mais caso voce seja um jogador veterano querendo mudar um pouco a dinamica e sair dos combos que esta acostumado. Diferente do jogo base, esta versao vem acompanhada de tokens de pontuação para cada jogador saber quantos pontos possui, bem como marcadores lindissimos que explicam individualmente de forma breve sobre cada facção, além de indicarem o nivel de complexidade de cada uma delas, perfeito para jogadores iniciantes e veteranos entenderem o que esperar de cada uma.
