Have an old b&q strimmer that ran very inconsistent, starting then cutting out then failing to start. bogging down and not revving out and smokey despite perfect mixture and even aspen fuel and then other days would run fine. As standard these carbs do not have a mixture screw which i believe is a massive downfall and as a result i couldn't adjust what i believed to be the main problem as it always smelt like it was running rich... So on a punt I decided to buy this carburetor off amazon as for the money wouldn't have mattered if it hadn't cured the issue as strimmer would be replaced. HOWEVER, happy to report after fitting within 4 pulls it started without using the prime bulb at all and with a couple tweaks of the mixture screw it screams all way up to max revs with little to no smoke at all. BARGAIN, time will tell on longevity but for now have a reliable fully functioning strimmer again and i wouldn't think twice about buying another in future

Fitted part today no issues even though it is physically a little larger then the original with a slightly bigger venturi. Mixture screw fully tightened on arrival, backed it off half a turn at time until strimmer started and is running perfectly (two and a half turns out in total). Fitted to 11 year old B&Q 25cc strimmer model number FPGTP25.

Replaced original carb and works well

Used this on an aging Mac Allister M4MTP25. It's an easy replacement - remove air filter and choke housing, disconnect fuel lines and throttle cable, pop this on. Only word of warning - the throttle linkage is plastic rather than the metal construction on my original unit, and is a little off-set from the original. I don't know if this may now have changed to plastic on the latest version of the cutter. Runs like new. For those wondering if they need to replace / renew their multi tool - I recommend trying some simple maintenance, fresh fuel and finally a new carburetor before spending lots more on new kit.

My strimmer (no idea of make as sticker fell off years ago) wouldn't start and carb kept flooding, it had been working fine. After alot of cleaning, maintenance it still wouldnt go. Bought this carb and it fitted straight on, slightly larger but strimmer started immediately and running fine now, no adjustment. Bolt holes 32mm is all I worked off. Great value and prolonged its life

Carburettor was delivered next day, easily fitted just had to turn the throttle cable over to the other side very easy to do, strimmer started the first pull, just needed to adjust the tick over to a slower speed works like a new one

Perfect replacement for the carb on my Spear and Jackson SPJBC30 14 year old strimmer. Off with the old and on with the new- only adjustment was the idle. Its a good idea to replace fuel lines and filter with a kit at the same time. Spear and Jackson was made by Einhell

Fitted to my FPGTP25-2 strimmer within 10 minutes and started first pull. Original fault- OK when idling but cut out when tried to increase revs.. All in all, an excellent buy, only adjustment needed was to reduce idling revs.
