The Best Golf Watch On The Market
I’ve been a long time owner of the Garmin 5X, and used it during all my golf outings. However, I wanted a golf watch that was designed specifically for golfers that would do a bit more than was limited by what the 5X offered. As I stated to look for a dedicated golf watch I compared the S62 against numerous other golf watches available and finally settled on the S62. As an avid golfer, this watch didn’t disappoint. It is extremely accurate. I like that just by utilizing the touch screen I can place the flag exactly where it’s located on the green as opposed to just being able to select either the front, middle, or back that the Garmin 5X offered. I like being able to add additional bushes, trees, or whatever else might be on a particular hole that may not be on the course layout as it’s presented to the user. It comes in really handy when I’m on a tree lined dogleg. I can just tell the watch exactly where that particular tree is located on the edge of the dogleg and I know exactly what I need to hit to clear it. I really enjoy the built in “caddie” the knows my club distances. It calculates the elevations and wind speed and clubs me accordingly. It’s actually helped me tremendously when I’m playing a course I’m not too familiar with. Lastly, but certainly not least, it being able to download the data when I get home. It gives you a very in depth shot by shot overview of your round. I’m always looking to minimize my putts as much as possible and it keeps track of the number of putts per hole as well as a composite number from the round. Well done Garmin.

Best in person
My husband has a previous garment and he wore it until it fell apart. This watch is even better looking in person then in the pictures. He has really enjoyed it so far I’m so glad I made this purchase for him.

Complicated, so far!
I think the watch along with app will do fine(eventually). the problem I've had(only owned for 3 days and played 2 rounds as of this review) is that there's not enough information to understand exactly how the watch calculates or what it is calculating. For example: when playing, it will ask you which club - I do not know whether to enter the club as soon as I hit or once I get to the ball - is it measuring distance from the tee or at the ball?? I can't find this answer in the manual or online. If it loses connection to your phone, it won't ask other data questions, such as, driver accuracy, etc. When connected to your phone, if you leave the phone in your cart, it will constantly vibrate as your phone constantly constantly connects and reconnects to the phone while you're putting or during a swing. Frustrating but I'll keep at it and do a follow up review after a few more rounds. I ordered Arccos Caddie which are screwed in to ends of each club to see how it compares.

Helps with yardage
Good for yardage. Wish you could put in clubs sooner to find out yardages than 5 rounds. Also still have not figured out how to edit clubs that I used.

The virtual caddy is worth the price of admission
My last gamin golf watch was an S2 so the S62 is an amazing upgrade. The battery life is incredible, multiple rounds on one charge. The watch has an easy to read display, even in bright sun, and provides all the info you need to improve your golf game. The virtual caddy is amazing. It knows how far you hit your clubs, not how far you think you hit your clubs, and 99% of the time the recommended club is the right one. The health info is fun to monitor, and provides some useful info. The watch is not inexpensive, but as is usually the case, you get what you pay for. Go ahead a buy one, your golf game will thank you.

It does what I bought it for plus so much more.
I bought this watch just for the Golf GPS function after loosing my hand held Approach GPS. I was totally surprised with all this watch does besides Golf. I had a little learning curve when first using it for a round of golf. But I love it now. Lots of info on hole layout and distance to hazards and green. I don’t plan on using all the golf features it offers other than as a GPS for golf.On the other hand after adding the Garmin Connect app. I was amazed at all the physical info available to me. Besides pulse and stress it lets me know how many hours I slept and at what levels of sleep (rim, light, heavy & awake). This is an awesome watch as far as I’m concerned.

All in all, I love the S62
I very much enjoy this watch. I have become dependent on it during my rounds. It is like my assistant. And once you go deeper into the features, you discover there are many more than it seems.Personally, I could do without the external batter charger.I had the S60 and struggled to reliably connect the cable. I always had to make sure the watch was actually charging. This caused considerable frustration. So far, this issue has not occurred with the new S62.I think it would be nice if Garmin provided easy access to my performance data, in addition to the analytics they provide. With the S60 and S62, my ball distance is not always captured. Annoying, but not that much. All in all, I am loving the S62.
