Cannot say enough about this book
As a small business founder, we are always looking for ways to pull a team together. The Great Game of Business really seems to hit the target. This book explains the principles and processes in detail. Excellent purchase and reference book.

Great Implementation Guide
I have been playing The Great Game of Business since 2001, ever since I bought out my business partners that didnt want to play. I believe its that best way to run a business and Rich and Steve have done an amazing job of describing how implementation gets done in this book. I received it on Sunday and finished it by Wednesday because I found it so energizing to read. It made me want to revamp how I play the game in my current business and actually helped get me excited about it again in the middle of a pandemic when my business is struggling. Thanks Rich and Steve for putting this book out to reenergize us long time players.

Not a fad ... just the "only sensible way to run a business"!
Just about every organization strives to have a culture where their employees "act like owners". I have asked several senior leaders of those organizations (C-level) what they do to treat their employees like owners? Do they involve them in decision making? Do they give them a stake in the outcome ... good or bad? Do they offer them continuing education on the financials? Are their books really open? Or do they just do open financial reporting ... tell employees what happened after it's too late for them to help make a difference in those results? You can guess what the responses often are. The Great Game of Business (GGOB) can be just that for an organization ... a game changer! But it starts with the right leadership who don't feel they have to be in control of everything. Over the last number of years I have seen how adopting this methodology is not some fad. Indeed it is the "only sensible way to run a business"! If you doubt that just check out the organizations who have adopted techniques of the GGOB ... Southwest, JetBlue, and NetFlix among others! It can be done and this book gives you an overview and outline of the path to being an open-book management organization. There is a lot more to it but this book at least ought to intrigue you enough to learn more!
