Lobo brand Thai Holy basil seasoning paste - 1.76 oz each (5 packs)

For someone who lives in a small town I appreciate that I can order this product and have it sent to my house. This is pretty spicy so I'm the only one who can really eat this but more for me, haha.

Super good seasoning for making Thai food. Just mix with bison or ground beef, super tasty

A Thai friend at work recommended I try this. He said it was really good, and I have to agree with him. Good flavor to mix with a pound of meat.

Flavorful despite the heat. Would have liked a bit more basil. There were 4 leaves in the packet I used, which is supposed to serve 4. I personally would dilute the next one to serve 6 cuz we are wimpy when it comes to that kind of heat 😁 a few more basil leaves would let me do that. But no worries....thai and holy basil coming up in the garden!

Spicy and yummy!

The yummiest stir fry paste in all the world. Pleasant touch of spice while not being over the top. Super flavorful

I have a pretty high tolerance for spicy food, but dumping a whole packet into a stir-fry is going to fry your taste buds, too. I found that about a tablespoon is sufficient for a 2-serving stir-fry. Also, the heat from the chiles pretty much overwhelms the basil flavor. I'll probably use up the remaining packets but won't re-order this in future.

This is a medium-hot sauce, not burn-your-face-off hot. The flavors are great with meat and/or vegetables. I add to whatever combo of vegetables I've got that have been stir-fried until almost done. Add a little bit of coconut milk and the sauce. Put the lid on to simmer on low heat for a couple of minutes, or until veg are the way you like them. I'm no Thai chef - that's just how I use this sauce. I serve over basmati rice, because that's what I always have on hand.

Very authentic flavour almost as good as found in a Thai restaurant

There is no real substitute for making this dish fresh, but you can't get the key ingredients in the UK. Lobo, which is made in Thailand, is definitely the best of the packets. I've tried several.
