I've wanted to experiment with gel lighting effects for some time but was put off by the need to properly store and handle the thin transparent sheets and clips necessary to attach them to my various lights. This compact Godox RGB mini light has been a perfect alternative -- it's easy to adjust and extremely bright. While it may not be suitable in cases where a specific industry-standard color tone is required, this light can closely simulate almost any color value and do it with a purity and intensity that's really surprising. The articulating arm and variety of 1/4-20 attachment points makes this light extremely easy to attach in any position. It takes a little time to fully charge but so far has provided all the session special effects I've needed. With its excellent build-quality, it's a winner! I have had this light for two days now and so far I’m very happy. As usual for most go docs products the packaging was very nice. What stood out to me immediately was the build quality. This light feels so strong and solid in your hand. The entire thing is beautifully machined aluminum. Although it has a bunch of different settings and modes and even saturation control when you are in RGB mode, it is incredibly intuitive. As soon as I pulled it out of the box, within a minute I was able to do everything this light has to offer. I never looked at the instruction manual even once. I have not yet tried this light on a job but I have played with it around the house and taking a few sample photos and I am super happy. I will know more when I use this on a job, but the battery life seems to be exceptional. I also watched a YouTube review where somebody tested the battery and confirmed that it lasted for about 2 1/2 hours on full power, which is quite impressive for light of the size that can literally fit in your front pocket. I am quite picky when it comes to these types of LED lights and I am already certain that I made a good purchase. The ability to add color it’s going to be a huge timesaver when shooting wedding details by not having to add gels to flashes. I’m super excited to try this light out on my next job. If you were on the fence about purchasing this light, I highly recommend you pull the trigger. You will not regret it!

Bright. Lightweight. Holds a long charge. Good color! User interface intuitive and simple. Nice clicky buttons. Solid finish! Should be durable enough to withstand some regular wear and tear.

Great light. So many options and uses. Dial in the color and brightness you need. Have fun with the effects. It all works the way it’s supposed to! I’d recommend it! My only complaint is the way the protective sleeve goes on you can sometimes unknowingly flip the light on.

For the price you can’t beat it. It has stepped up my photography a ton and adds a lot of flair. The battery lasts a pretty good while. They don’t get too hot and I’m thinking about getting more :)

It's light and weightless and the light coming off of it is perfect for photography and videography content creation! I own creative agency and this light is my go to product light.

Love the battery life, versatility, compact size. Easy to carry in my bag or purse for foodie collaborations (must have good lighting!).

This light is significantly more portable than my bigger LED panels and COBs. I don't have much use for the function buttons, as I prefer keeping the light stable and adding effects in post. I did take off one star because while the material is high quality, the build feels a bit flimsy. If you shake it, you will hear the diffuser (not removable) moving around.
