9" Wood Handle Spring Push Button Folding Comb Hair Styling Pocket Carrying White

This is one serious freakin' comb.I picked this up despite some of the more negative reviews, seeing as it seemed like a more professionally put-together "switch-combs" available. It's a well put together stiletto handle with a very tough stainless steel comb that flips out. People have been complaining that it "doesn't close," the answer to that is quite simple: you have to hold the button you use to pop the comb and fold it back in.I got a green pearl handled one, which looks quite cool, it has a safety lock so it won't pop open in your pocket and a belt clip you can hook it into your pocket with. The whole thing is very well put together with a tight spring and quality metals. I don't think there's anything cheap about this, especially considering the low asking price which it's well worth. Some people complained about getting the wrong color, I don't really see an issue here, whatever the color of the handle it's very professional looking and has a nice finish to it so if you're looking for a cool novelty comb you should totally pick this one up!I remember watching the 1978 "Dawn of the Dead" as a kid and Tom Savini's character in the movie had one of these and I said "there's no way that's a real thing!" Years later I decided to look it up and now I have one!

Very weighted handle, strong spring for the switch, and a button that isnt flimsy. The handle is really nicely put together and is not cheaply glued on. The comb itself is long, made of light metal, and has thick teeth with good spacing between unlike those flimsy black combs everyone has for school picture day. The clip for hooking to your pants pocket is tight and firm.The teeth are a little short, so maybe not something for people with high volume hair or for major brushing. Its better for tuneups and styling.My second critique is that the metal comb isnt smooth finished, so its not the smoothest comb-through feeling and may snag on hair thats pretty knotty.I'd still recommend this though.

The comb seems very sturdy and I get a feeling that it'll last for many years to come. Like some of the other reviews mentioned, I did notice that the actual comb part does snag on hair, but that could be due to my hair texture. While the comb didn't do very well with my finer hair, it worked great on some family members with thicker hair. I was very surprised at how quickly it opened once the trigger is pressed, and I get a feeling it might cause some problems if you try to take it onto a plane. The safety feature works well, though, and once it's engaged you won't have to worry about it accidentally opening. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with it!

What started out as a gag gift actually has all the makings of an everyday comb. It has the nostalgia of switch blade comes from the traveling carnivals of the 1980’s but definitely with an upgrade for design. It feels sturdy and the handle has impressive detail. I’ve got no complaints.

These fake stiletto knives where originally made as a joke. I got one in my teenage years and I was using it to prank some people.I would not advise anyone to play that game anymore in the US as one could end up dead.In any case, I bought two of these items to go back to my teenage memories. The two from the same brand one pearl style and the other wooden style. The pearl handle was originally supposed to be white pearl but I got a green pearl if such thing has ever existed.So I returned this one and this is why I am giving it a rating of 3 stars, just because the color did not match my expectations.Funnily, by the time I am writing this review, the picture has changed and does not show white anymore.Construction wise, these combs deserve a full 5 stars. They are solid, as well built as a stiletto knife would be in fact.

This thing is awesome! Very firm and clean action. I always get comments when I pull it out of my pocket. The classic sound it makes when it snaps open, everyone looks! Very cool, keep that hair slicked back. Just don’t get it confused for your real one…

When I ordered this, I thought that $10 would probably be a bit of a rip-off, but I wanted to try this anyway. It's a great comb, very sturdy, but also very heavy. It looks well made, so I don't know what some other reviews were complaining about. The only bad thing about this comb is that sometimes it has a tendency to pull my hairs. Fast shipping, arrived 4 days before expected.

Unfortunately this broke the day we got it. A few hours after we opened it the screw came out of the side with the button and while we spent hours looking for it and did finally find it, something else must have fallen out as well because now it wont swing open even when you push the button. You have to press the button and shake it really hard with the comb downward to get it to come out. It’s basically worthless. The comb is nice looking and heavier than I expected but if it breaks right away it doesn’t really matter how nice it looks...
