I have been using the WOD Nation speed rope for about 1.5 years with heavy outdoor use and quick movements like boxer skips, double unders, fast and slow bounces. The Sonic Boom M2 speed rope brings some new ideas to the table. The handles have a nice grip and the screwless mechanism is a great idea. No more need for accidentally cutting the rope too short. Adjustments are very quick and easy. There was one occasion where the screws on the WOD Nation speed rope popped out during a workout, so this complete eliminates that problem. The ends of the handles rotate 360 allowing for smooth transitions between movements, i.e. double unders to criss cross.An extra cable is provided in the box and Epitomie Fitness offers an additional cable if you email them your feedback. The cable is slightly thicker than the WOD Nation cable. I found that this causes the Sonic Boom M2 cable to tangle at times when doing moves like side swipes. This is kind of shown in the picture attached. The WOD Nation cable has lasted over a year of heavy outdoor use, so I am expecting the Sonic Boom M2 cable to be just as durable or more so.Overall, the Sonic Boom M2 is a good speed rope with new improvements over a traditional speed rope. Looking forward to using it more during the week!

Here’s the truth, as it turns out, I hate jumping rope; I’m no longer a child, and things that have no business moving, flop around while I’m trying to fit in some cardio. That said, this jump rope is easily the best one I’ve ever used. It moves smoothly, is easy to pack in a gym bag without it getting tangled, and it’s very durable.

Cable weight is approx 38 grams, handle weight is approx 55grams each. When I ordered this product, I did not realize it came with 2 cables! I got one red and one black. Both appear to be the same except for color. Both have an internal core of braided metal. The ability to change the length is very easy and much easier than on my past speed ropes. Cable length has plenty to spare for my 6ft height. The cable is also thinner than my previous ones, but it appreas it will hold up well with the metal core. The rope spins easily, and double-unders are much easier than with my previous two speed ropes. The handles are long enough for large hands but are also thin, with a pleasant hard/satiny grip, which are all things I prefer in a handle. My only complaint is that I personally prefer a super-light handle. Overall this appears to be a quality product that I will use regularly. Please note that I am a beta tester for Epitomie, but all reviews are honest. While not every product I have tried over the years has gotten 5 stars, all the products I routinely use have held up very well to continued use.

This speed rope is great! I have been using the generic speed ropes available at the gym for some time now and find common issues you see for equipment available for mass consumption: cheap quality, worn down, not easily adjustable for length, and tangled all together! It would take me five minutes to pick out a rope that was the right size for me sometimes.All those grievances are officially gone with the sonic boom M2! I was excited from the moment the box arrived: Epitomie consistently has clean packaging for their products, and strive to be exceptional with additional resources available for customers. In this case, the rope came with an extra cable and you have the opportunity to get a third by sending them feedback...plus they have free videos to access!I enjoy jumping rope for cardio, warming up before lifting, or integrated into crossfit for double unders. I wish I had gotten this rope sooner because it has all been a breeze: I've been using the M2 for a few weeks now, and the cable is sturdy and durable. I love how easily it adjusts, but keeps the rope secure. It turns smoothly, and the weight is certainly light enough to have improved my double unders. I'm thrilled to have this speed rope and absolutely recommend it! Another great piece of equipment from Epitomie.

I bought the rope in May and have used it consistently (mainly in Crossfit) since that time. My rating would be 4.5/5 if I could do a half star. Very close to a 5 except for a couple things I find less than ideal below, but some might not mind.I love the handles. The size, the no-slip surface - they are great! I have a little above average size hands, so having a little more handle to grip is nice for me. Also getting the cables and to the right length was a cinch. The ball bearing motion is very smooth and effortless.Overall the cable itself is above average. Seems durable and the material works. I do have two minor complaints however. First, I have had a good deal of tangling/twisting upon putting the rope down on the ground, though it has been easy to remediate between sets. Secondly, I just prefer a slightly heavier rope. Really personal preference on that, but I don't see the option to select a heavier cable.

I liked the jump rope so much this is my second time purchasing it. I had another one but someone broke into my car and stole my gym back. When it came time to replace my gym gear, I had to have another epitome fitness jump rope. This is a heavy duty jump rope not like the flimsy plastic ones you find most places. The length of the rope can be adjusted to fit the user depending on if a child/adult is using it or not. Since it is a heavier weight it can be used to do fancy jump rope tricks like double unders. Jump roping is great cardio and with this rope you can take your workouts anywhere (beach, outside, vacation). It is a high quality rope and the handles are metal so it won't break if you are going at a high intensity. I definitely recommend this rope if you are wanting to switch up your workouts and try some HITT training!
