Flame Backrest Sissy Bar for 2001-2009 Suzuki Volusia Boulevard Vl800 M50 C50

Great Product BUT!..GOOD:---Good quality for the price---FitsBAD:---The chrome is not smooth, rather looks as if was painted with a brush, but it looks okay now that it is on there.---FITMENT ISSUE... It took me over 2 hours to install the darn thing on my 2007 Suzuki Boulevard M50. It's NOT plug and play like it says...After I removed my fender and took apart my bike, noticed the spacers that is part of the outside housing on my bike are welded and are too large to slide into the pre-drilled holes made in the sissy bar bracket.-----> AS that wasn't bad enough it's nearly impossible to drill the holes yourself. I had to take the parts to a shop and had to have them use a drill press to drill the holes through because the steel is so thick.------> AFTER finally putting on the brackets with a custom fit, I noticed that the bolts were too long that connected the back rest to the mounting bracket I had just drilled into. Then I had to use a table saw to cut those bolts in half.-------> AFTER all the afford the seat is fitting nicely and it's very sturdy.KEEP ALL THIS IN MIND BEFORE MAKING THE PURCHASE.NOTES FOR THE MANUFACTURE:1.) Redesign the mounting bracket with bigger drilled holes2.) Give smaller bolts.

A nice sissybar , good quality chrome, good finish on the edges of the brackets, bolt holes lined up well , a good fitting kit for mounting it with appropriate spacers, nice angle on the backrest, well designed backrest bracket with a welded bottom brace to stop flexing, nice even stitching on the soft bits. Padded part of backrest moves a little on the mounting to the bracket,as it is clamped in place , a good idea as no additional holes in the bracket to weaken it or for rust to start, ( fixed with a spot of glue ) Could do with giving an option of a mount that puts the sissybar further back ( for wider loads ). Overall a very good, well designed and finished product.

After reading the reviews on this product, I was very "iffy" about buying it. I mean, I saw some of the complaints and thought for 50.00 dollars it was worth the gamble.It certainly is not a Cobra quality!! Ill keep the 200.00 bucks i saved though and buy something else.On a scale of 1-10 this was an 8 for me. Everything fit nicely, chrome is pretty good quality, You want show quality spend the money,,,,,for a normal Joe like me, Ill take this all day every day!!! My bike is a 2007 Suzuki C50.

Great buy!!! I was worried about the quality due to the price until I received it and mounted it on my bike. It works great and has a great look. I have a 06 Suzuki Boulevard C50. There aren't any directions but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. In order to make it fit, you will have to manipulate where you put the washers and how many to make it fit the width of the rear fender. I recommend this buy to anyone curious about purchasing this item.

The seat it self is good, but it came with a small rip in one corner out of the box. I had to buy new set of stainless steel screws because the screw provided was too short, which cost me a bit more money. Overall the seat look good just that I wish the company should have check to make sure it perfect condition!

very nice looking, had to make some modifications for the bracket to fit the bike mainly to do with the curve not being quite enough to line up with the frame of the bike. all in all for the price a good deal.

Instructions would have been nice but they tell you upfront it doesn't come with them. After a little trial and error its on and works great. No extra parts required. A few left over but that's ok too.

The product description is accurate and received item on time. Only suggestion would be if they can includes some instruction for installation would be helpful. Overall good product for less $$$
