Lansky CS Knife Sharpener

Simple to use. The only sharpener worth buying for Cold Steel's serrations. Inexpensive, so buy 2! Great design and quality. Easy to carry.

This is a must have for your cold steel blade with serrations if you want to easily keep them sharp. It only fills three of the four grooves though. Wouldn't it be nice to fill/sharpen them all in one motion. Come on Lansky.....widen the thing so we don't have to sharpen each section for twice as long. Damn us complaining customers.

One of my biggest problems with serrated blades, which started while I was in the military and everyone had caught "Rambo Fever", is that everyone making knives has their own pattern and that makes them an absolute nightmare to repair or keep sharp. That being said, serrated blades are extremely good at doing what they are designed to do, cut through things like crazy. So, while I appreciate their capabilities, I'm not a big fan of knives where I lose half or more of the blade to something I can't keep sharpened. This sharpener fixes that. I am a HUGE fan of Cold Steel knives and really like their serration pattern under certain circumstances... until I got this handy little bugger though I just had no really convenient way to keep them in good shape. And this sharpener has multiple surfaces available to use for sharpening so you aren't limited to JUST the serrations. I keep one of these in every single bag I have... they are just that handy

It is too small to be effective and almost impossible to keep the blade on angle because the stroke is only 3 inches unless you want to cut your fingers. Was a good idea, however in execution the stone needs to be 6-7 inches to work.

Fantastic. Pinch grip and snap cuts works great on vegetation. I learned as I went and the right technique makes all the difference in the world. I also tried it on a large log and was amazed at how fast it chopped through it with the right angle and using snap cuts with pinch grip. I was fatigued quickly when using a death grip but when I loosened it up and used pinch grip I was able to wack away and the vegetation with minimal effort and fatigue. Fantastic machete. The handle is wooden and got a tiny bit of wiggle in it. Wood swells and constricts in different whether though. Overall I love this blade.

I can't say how the sharpener has made touching up serrations easier. I go til 8 feel a burr on back side a touch up opposite side. Cardboard is very rough & abrasive on serrated knives BUT this handy sharpener restores the edge. I touch up when needed like few times a week. A must have since I've the Voyager (L & ExL) the Koban & now 2 Spartan folders. Some patience & practice at 1st BUT worth having to maintain blade. Like the old saying "A dull blade is more dangerous than a sharp blade." Ask me how I know from a few battle scars over many years. Can't go wrong with this Sharpener.

Non mi ci sono ancora abituato !!! Ne ho a deceni di piccoli affilatori , questo è il peggiore , forse saro' io ma non mi piace . Se posso consigliare il victorinox dalla forma di una penna dai colori rosso e nero è il migliore in assoluto , l' ho preso su Amazon allo stesso prezzo è lo adoro , lo uso da almeno un anno quasi tutti i giorni per rifare il filo anche a coltelli grandi o rifare le punte a quelli da lancio. Io non lo consiglio . By L7
