Black gravel
Too small bag for the high price, to thin gravel it will not last when you clean your aquarium the vacum will extram them all. It has no durability. Yes it looks great but won't last. Easy to clean and use.

Nice contrast
Wanted something to change up my Betta tank and show off his gorgeous colors. This black color is very bold and a true black. Made the tank look so much better.

Nice looking sand
Nice looking sand, however for our 3 gallon tank, 2 bags were definitely not enough, I'd suggest at least 3 or 4 for a tank that size. Not sure how good the sand is for starting a fish in a new tank. We had a betta somewhat unexpectedly dropped on us, he had a 1 gallon bowl , our house was not warm enough to keep the water temp high enough for him so we had to kind of move him over quickly to a larger tank with a heater as he was becoming lethargic in our cold house after about 3 days , unsure if it actually "instantly cycles" but betta seems happy so far in his new home. Update: The sand has a nice sparkle to it, and is much nicer looking than the plain black petco aquarium sand we purchased supplement the Activ sand, help keep our plants well supported.

My bettas thank you!
I just gave my three bettas new homes and decided to include this sand in each one. They each have spaces exclusively of sand. Now, all three prefer to nap on thier sand zones. I wish I'd thought of this earlier. Thanks to this bio-ready sand, all three tanks were ready and waiting within a day. I thank you for an excellent product and quick service.

Nice gravel, small bags
Perfect sized gravel, not too fine and not huge. Does have a little sparkle to it! It also has a few brown pieces, not sure if they are plain stone or some component to the "live" gravel. As others have mentioned, the bags are very small... I bought two bags and it gave just enough coverage for a Fluval Spec III 2.6 gallon aquarium. If you want deep gravel or have a bigger aquarium, you will have to get more than two.

Didn’t cloud my tank
Love that the sand was easy to add to my tank and did not cloud my tank. Great material.

Very small
It is 1 lb as listed but it's like half a bag of substrate the rest is water. But does not need to rinse ready to use. If you have a small betta container of 1 liter or 2 liter should be fine.

Keeps my tank super clean! Highly recommend!
It pretty and keeps the tank clean for way longer!! Great product just wish bag was bigger but it’s a good mount for a 3-5 gallon tank.

I didn’t wash it as it is written on the instructions and I put my betta in the tank, one week later, my betta was laying down on the gravel, I thought he was happy but later his fins shredded due to the bacteria of this gravel. I am so sorry for my betta, I chose wrong!!

it's fine I guess, my shrimps liked it for a while but there were some impurities which shouldn't matter in the long run.
