Easy to play and fun
This is not a children’s version of the original Risk game but it is a very good game. It’s simple and easy to learn and play. Each game doesn’t last too long even with 4 players but it’s easy and well worth resetting to play again.

Pirates & treasure!
This game reimagines the dice battle mechanic of risk but in a fun pirate themed adventure for kids. The whole game is superbly thought out, particularly launching the dice like cannonballs from mini pirate ships. We even taught our 3 and 5 year old to go 'oh-arrr' each time they launch a dice. It has us in stitches.

A fun if very simple game for young children
This was purchased as a gift for our 6 year old grandson to tie in with his Pirate themed birthday party. It's easy to follow and we enjoyed several games when unpacked. However it's possibly better for younger ones - say 4 or 5 year olds as it wasn't very challenging for him!

A bit overly basic
OK this is for young kids, got this for my 6yr old but more suited to a 4 or 5yr old. Very basic dice roll game. He enjoys it though, so it's not too bad at all and is well made, it's just very very basic. The players basically roll the dice to determine who gets the treasure of each island. Each roll is a complete gamble. No real strategy at all like the original Risk game. Wasn't expecting that level but thought perhaps a basic strategy was going to be part of the make up. A little disappointed. But he does still like it.

So much fun - 4, 6, 43 and 48 ... all highly amused
6.5/10 but not because its a bad game... it's a great game, it just seems a shame that all ships doesn't come with a dice each as it's made for kids. Also a bit of a faff trying to remember who is on which island as the kids need to remove their game token to fight the battles. We've ended up buying extra dice and making additional tokens but would be a really simple fix to make this 10/10

With a couple of tweaks this could be excellent
A really nice game. Slightly spoiled by a couple of quality isssues Firstly the cardboard components are much thinner than I’d like but we’ll see how long they last. The second issue is more fundamental, the ships being part you use to “flick” the dice is ok but it can be hard if your boat is on the other side of the board and you have little arms! This leads to “bits” being moved around which can get in the way of the game a bit.
