Love these shoes, very comfortable, look great, true to size and great value. The sole is rubber and does not slip at all.

These are excellent shoes that an be used all day, either at work or when traveling. The leather has nice, clean wear on it and does not have the "brand new and shiny" look that some leather shoes have. The leather is reasonably flexible, and appears to be resistant to stains and water (from a recent spill!). The price is about $20 or more lower than at my local Macy's so it was a fantastic deal. Amazon as usual delivered it on time, so no issues on that front. In short, an excellent buy if you're looking for comfortable, affordable, stylish leather shoes that you can wear either on business casuals or jeans and a shirt/t-shirt.

I thought I would write a review since some of the reviews here seem to be all over the place. First, let me be clear in saying I generally do not like traditional dress shoes with stiff soles or elevated heels. I tent to wear dress loafers or casual shoes to work, and pull out the leather dress shoes for formal events only. I thought these oxfords would be a bit more forgiving with gum rubber soles but still dressy enough to sub in for dress shoes. That said, they felt like a stiff pair of dress shoes when I first put them on. The insoles are terrible and part of the problem. I bought some gel rubber insoles and it wasn't a ton of improvement. On a whim, I ripped the existing insoles out (it's just thin fabric over a thin layer of foam) and swapped the foam insoles from a pair of my Reef Deckhand shoes in there, and it was so much better. Size wise, I usually wear a 12.5 or 13 in most brands, and these fit me in 13. You might have issues if you have a really wide foot or need a really wide toe box, but my normal size 13 feet fit just fine. They do have a somewhat tapered toe but they aren't unusually long, so I don't understand the reviews that describe these as abnormally long and narrow. All in all, they look great and are solid leather uppers, so four stars. I would reccomend foam insoles though. UPDATE: I've been wearing these for a couple weeks now. After the first day or two, they broke in and became super comfortable. I wouldn't necessarily wear them walking all day, but for a day at the office, these are my new favorite shoes!

Size 9, very soft and comfortable even for a long walk after dinner. Good for rainy weather as well as cold ones. My feet don’t feel cold or sort of it. Only thing which is little bit weird are shoelaces, they are wider comparing to other shoes.

I like the look with jeans and chinos, but they are not durable when bumped or scuffed. They don't fit too well, either (kind of loose and not a good cushion). I still like the look and figure they will just have to be replaced quicker than I liked. May not even be worth having polished or shined but we shall see. Didn't think this pair would be like disposable shoes but I did get a good price.

I have worn this brand for years and haven’t had a need to buy a new dress shoe in a while. But it was time and so I donated my old ones and decided to buy some new ones. I sent them back within a week. The quality on these is disrespectful, not only to me, but to the Madden legacy. If he knew the quality of these shoes, John would come out his grave and slap his brother. Wouldn’t recommend.

Real leather and very stylish for a young man. Bought these for my son (27) to wear to my daughter’s wedding, and now every time he gets dressed up, he wears them.
