I took a while before deciding to eventually buy this. I bought Beyerdynamic DT770s to play games with and listen to music, but all the desk mics were either crazy expensive or bad quality. I saw the Modmic a while back but didn't want to shell out £50 for one. In the end I decided to bite the bullet, as I'd be using it for a long time and I'm glad I did. The adhesive pads are extremely well made, the magnets are really strong too - enough that I can pull the headphones away from my head if I don't yank it, showing the strength of the adhesive too. They don't have a volume control, just a mute, which is fine and expected. The sound quality is really good, if not a tiny bit bassy (might be the pop filter). My only downside is the length of the cable, which is quite short, but if you're using it AT a computer, you'll be fine.

I brought this Microphone to pair with my DT 880 Pro & DT 770's. I also brought the XLR converter so I can plug this mic straight into my focusrite 2i2. This add on Microphone is great, when paired with a audio interface that has Phantom Power with the gain set low. It sounds very flat and natural, with minimal noise. Brilliant sound quality, even better with a little EQ. However if you use the mic plugged into a 3.5mm jack on your computer, the audio quality may vary. As my gaming computer had very noisey audio when plugged straight into a 3.5mm mic jack, but alternatively my work desktop audio was fine. The build quality is great and the wire is long enough for most needs. I fed my wire through my headphones wire to make it one. Overal very good microphone for audio enthusiasts that want to keep using there favourite headphones. Also a great option if you don't want a big condenser microphone in your way when gaming. If you are good with audio and you want to use your headphones when communicating with others, this will be perfect for you.

Very easy to fit, just stick to the side of your headphones and plug it in! Couldnt be simpler. You can easily remove or reposition the microphone as its got a magnetic holder with variable locking positions. Sound quality is really clear with no distortion whatsoever. I thought they might pick up sound bleedover from my open backed Beyerdynamic tyger's but no other sounds are heard other than my voice which is great. This is a seriously good quality microphone!

Use with my Sennheiser headphones. Attaching the magnetic base was a breeze, and once it's properly cured, the adhesive is certainly not coming off on its own. The magnetic attachment makes it very easy to "stow" the mic when it's not needed, and they include a number of clips to attach the mic cable to your existing headset cables keeping everything nice and tidy. Sound quality is as you'd expect from a decent headset mic, not going to compete with a high end separate unit, but perfectly good for comms. Absolutely recommend this to anyone without a built in mic.

I used to have the old mod mic 5.0 modular and it was brilliant but after a few years the metal arm broken so i brought this to replace it. When i got it i was a bit disappinted to find it came without any of the black tubing to connect the mic wire and headphone wire, luckly i still had some from my 5.0 or i would have just sent it back. Unlike the modular one the mute switch gets all twisted and sinces its not modular you cant just adjust it which means you have difficluty finding it. Now days i usally just use discords mute instead of the mute on the wire. Still a great mi c but had a few issues that my old one didnt have and since this is a newer mic i would expect it have kept the old solutions instead of leaving each issues unsolved.

Hard to say exactly how good this is, as I'm never on the receiving end. My gaming buddies all tell my this is much better than my last few headset mics built into the headphones. Was easy to attach the sticky magnet onto my BD880 and Amiron cans. The magnet is strong for it's size but easily detaches if you tug the wire, which is either a good or bad thing, depending on your perspective. Not cheap, but am happy with what I got.

I've paired this with my Sennheiser HD650 and I can confirm that the magnet dongle has not come off once. I've accidentally tugged at the wire before hard enough for the mic to come away from the magnet, but it caused no damage to anything. The sound quality is really good. I also have the Playstation Pulse 3D headset for PS5, and the quality from this mic sounds much better and much cleaner. It's good enough for a gaming stream. It's admittedly quite expensive (I bought it for around £50) but you do get a carry case with it and a few 3M stickers. But if you want to use your audiophile headphones as a gaming headset, it's kind of necessary and probably the cheapest option if you want quality. I recommend it if this is the route you're going down.

単にPCのマイクジャックにダイレクト接続で、ZOOMを開いてマイクテストをしたときは音質が非常に悪かったが、きちんとオーディオインターフェースに接続した状態で、WEB会議等で音質チェックをしたところ、音質は格段によくなった。ちゃんと使えば、そこそこのクオリティのマイクだと思います。

There's no online recourse btw. Just absolutely dumb "did you try boosting the mic volume?" suggestions from people who KNOW that doesn't work but insist on wasting your time. This device can legit just STOP WORKING WITHOUT WARNING. No feedback, nothing. Just done. Unbelievably frustrating if you're looking for a high quality mic for various purposes (professional, personal, etc). This mic is TOO EXPENSIVE TO BE BREAKING SO SUDDENLY WITHIN 30 DAYS OF PURCHASE. Yes, I am livid. Something this expensive should not cost so much damn money. Also, do yourself a favor and get a cord extension or go wireless or just get a headset with a mic. The magnet is detachable so any tug at all on your mic will detach momentarily and rotate 45 degrees upwards from its last position. Very aggravating.
