This is one of the best things you can add to your Jeep!
I have a 2007 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with a soft top only. It's the two door model. I received and installed this a few months ago. It came packaged well and the instructions were pretty straightforward. When assembling, you need to be careful of scratching the various panels against each other and/or other objects. Installation wasn't bad for the most part, however, securing the left side panel to the body was a major bitch. The hole you're aiming for is under the carpet at the base of the pillar. Either you make a big hole in the carpet so you can find the what you're looking for, or a small punch hole in the carpet where you think it might be and hope for the best. This was the hardest part of the whole install. Once I got that worked out, everything went pretty quick. The right side is fine and works well with the subwoofer. That went in easily. Putting the the back panel (the one right behind the seats) was a bit of a challenge. It's removable, which is great, but I got the most scratches from trying to jam it between the two sides and line up the holes. What I really like:1. I feel much more secure leaving my jeep's top down. I don't have to worry that some random person can just pick up anything out of the jeep as they walk by. It is very secure. It also keeps things out of sight.2. The top comes off. This is pretty important if you have to carry something that's taller than the enclosure. You can remove the top without any tools. You just pull the top towards you when the tailgate is open and lift it off. It goes back easily as well.3. If you need the full length of the back, you can also remove the back panel. It has four screws with handles so you don't need a tool to remove them either. You can pull the panel off and leave the top on, f not just to keep things out of sight. You can also pull both off and recover most of the room in the back.4. The tailgate lock is your lock, so you don't need to carry an extra key to open the back.5. It's black, so it blends in well. If the top is up, you wouldn't even know it was there.6. No squeaks or rattles.Except for the install issues I wrote about at the beginning of this review, I really don't have any complaints once the unit was assembled. The soft top folds down fine over the top of the unit. I thought it might be a problem, but it wasn't. I'll note here that once you put it in, you can't put your back seat in without pulling it completely out, sides and all. Make sure you don't need that back seat.I also have the Tuffy underseat drawer, which I highly recommend as well. It's a great place to stick your electronics and other small high value items and keep them safe and out of site. You might also consider buying some tie downs for the top so you can carry extra items without them flying off. Tuffy sells some and you can find others here on Amazon. You'll have to drill into the top to bolt them down, but that shouldn't be too big of a deal. The side trays are OK, but without a tie down, I'm not sure what I would use them for.All in all, if you want to keep people out of your Jeep, but still have the flexibility to gain critical space back when needed, this is the item for you.

Poorly engineered
I was very unimpressed when I opened it. Expensive being over $500 for 3 basically flat pieces of metal & a top, but there’s really nothing else like it. Right from the git-go the finish was cheap. The hardware started to rust almost immediately. The finish chipped/flaked off around the edges (I bought a wider rubber edge protector to cover it which helped a lot). I ride around without doors so I desperately wanted a place to secure my things in the Jeep so I didn’t have to carry them with me! It ultimately serves it’s purpose allowing me to lock the back gate. The sides are just flat which leaves lots of room for objects to fall down on the outside. They added a small open box on both sides to take up some of the dead space. Looking at the design & engineering with the $500 price in mind they choose to be really lazy & took the simplest option, by putting a square box in the very contoured trunk.Pro: There is a metal sheet across the back so thieves can’t just fold the back seat down to gain access.Con: They precut the hole if you have a factory subwoofer in the back on the passenger side. However they didn’t provide any extra metal to close that hole. I can easily remove things through that hole. It’s 3”-4” from the sidewall & about 9”x13”.... so I store my backpack or other valuables on the driverside so they can’t be reached.Pro: The top has a 1”-2” wall all around it which is nice because it prevents anything from sliding off the top.Con: That would’ve caused water to collect but the design team drilled holes at the back so the water drains directly into your trunk space with your things😦. Make sure you keep anything you don’t want wet on the driver side away from the sub hole, away from the back drain holes & not directly on the floor.I’m giving it 2 stars because it does serve it’s purpose allowing me to lock a things inside the Jeep. I deducted-1 star because the powder coating is cheap and flaked in a few areas, maybe because there’s no primer.-1 star because the hardware almost immediate started to rust.-1 star because of the lack effort put into designing it & the consequences created. Mostly the huge hole they leave if you don’t have a factory sub & the fact they intentionally drained water into the secure space they want $500+ for🤯

This box installed easily maybe 30 mins- 45 at the longest
I have only had this for about 3 weeks. However, I take the doors and top off my JKU often. I ways wanted a way to protect my tools, recovery gear, etc. This box installed easily maybe 30 mins- 45 at the longest. Super solid. The top is recessed ( which is a bonus) so I did add some tie down rings to the top. Works Awesome !!!!!Few Tips1. Do not over tighten the rubber grommets on the lid2. The extra hardware for the 2 door is included in the kit don't let that throw you off.3. Might want forgo the inner brackets for the hydraulic shocks(not included) They are in the way once assembled. FYI I use a small cord that mounts to my roll bar when I lift open it. Super clean and easy. It has a small hook.YES BUY THIS!!!!!!!

2010 JKU. Eh, its ok i guess.
Arrived in a huge box. UPS had a hard time getting it to my door. The box was poorly sealed and the seams were busting open. Was missing a couple of washers in the hardware pack. The right side was bent, easy fix. The lid is also bent. It doesn't affect the operation just the aesthetics. I have a subwoofer inside and the "weather stripping" does not help it from rattling. I have to find some thicker padding to keep the rattle down. One of the bolts that goes in the floor could of been a little longer. I installed over the carpet and had to pull some of it out of the way for the bolt to catch. It works as it should, just not pleased with the overall experience of the bent pieces, missing hardware, and short bolt.

This enclosure is great. Its a very tight fit so no noise is heard while driving. I had a bit of an issue with some damage on the item but the seller corrected the issue. The 3 stars is not due to the seller, it was most likly damaged in shipping,
