Yay! I can drink coffee again!
Very tasty. You have to make it the night before as it is a cold brew product. They do not recommend microwaving. They recommend mixing the grounds with water and letting it sit overnight, in the morning, filter it and heat it in a pot. I don’t find this to be a problem at all because I pour it into a French press to filter it. It is delicious and it doesn’t burn up my stomach. It’s milder than I used to drink. I always liked dark roasts and espressos. Now I’m just happy to have a good cup of coffee. It’s a medium roast however the caffeine is not as high as some. It’s just plain good, low acid. It’s prep may take a little getting used to but it is worth it ! No more difficult than preparing a pot of drip coffee.

Helps control reflux
First of all low acid coffee is hard to find on regular retail market. There are other brands to select from on Amazon, we landed on this product based on reviews. We have not tried others for comparison. The flavor is good, not as good as regular grind but good. My husband notices a reduction in reflux with this coffee verses regular grind coffee. It costs more than you would spend for regular grind coffee, but it is worth it. We do mix in regular grind flavored coffee from time to time and it still keeps acid down. Would recommend for anyone who is a coffee drinker and dealing with the dreaded reflux. Give it a try. We keep reordering this product so you know we like it.

Great for interstitial cystitis
I purchased this low-acid coffee, decaf version, because I have painful bladder syndrome (aka IC or interstitial cystitis). I had cut out all coffee for several months because acidic products and/or caffeine can be a trigger for a painful flare of symptoms. I'm so happy to actually have coffee again - even if it is decaf! The flavor is decent; not amazing or anything, but it's really not bad at all. I use a BIG heaping tablespoon for about 16 oz water and that results in a pretty robust flavor; not weak, but not strong either. It's better than office coffee, anyway. I have been drinking this daily for about 1 month now and have had NO problems with bladder pain, GI issues, or anything else, thankfully! I am going to order the low-acid caffeinated version next and see how it goes.

Better than regular coffee but...
My husband and I have issues with acidity in most store-bought coffee, so seeking something that doesn't hurt our tummies but also tastes great. This one was definitely better than the junk in most grocery stores, but I felt the taste was a bit lacking. It wasn't as tough on my stomach, but still some issues. My husband liked it better than I and felt it was much easier on his stomach. We keep it in the freezer for a good backup for when we can't find the one we finally decided is the best all-around option for us. Probably a good option for those looking - like most consumable products; it is very much a personal taste and stomach sensitivity issue.

MY FIRST CUP OF COFFEE IN THE MORNING!
I've been using HealthWise for several years to help lower my acid intake. I keep trying other brands of low acid coffee, but this is a light roast and most of the others are dark roasts! Not for me! I find filling the pod with more grounds and brewing strong makes a better cup, though sometimes I brew a six ounce rather than an eight ounce cup. It's richer that way, but not bitter or dark tasting. ALSO, this is so much less expensive than the pre-made pods!

In my extpert opinion
OK, listen up. I am a coffee expert. I have written articles about coffee and given talks. I have owned and operated one of the largest coffee houses in California, which won awards for excellence. And I have no interest in supporting one coffee seller over another. Since I actually bought this coffee and used it, Amazon will tag me as a Verified Purchaser. I read the reviews and this is my professional opinion. 1. There are only two points that are true about these k-cups: First, these pods do, in fact, fit in the older versions of the Keurig coffee machines. I bought mine about 3 years ago and they worked fine. And, as the ad now correctly states, it does not work in the latest Keurig machines. Second, … these are the lowest priced k-cups of low acid coffee anywhere around. 2. You can’t compare low acid coffee with regular coffee, they are two different beverages. Regular coffee, because it is processed less, will always taste better. Having said that, the idea is to produce low acid coffee as close to the taste of regular coffee as one can. Cafe Don Pedro is way, way off the mark. In my professional opinion, this coffee is watery and awful tasting. I have tasted other low acid coffees and this is the worst of the few others I have tasted. 3. In my opinion, the problem with the k-0cup pods are likely two issues: The most important issue seems to be that the pods do not have enough coffee. I’d recommend to Cafe Don Pedro that they increase the coffee grind by 20%. (This is why it tastes watery.) Second, while, “Columbian Supremo” beans are generally very good coffee beans, giving full rounded flavor, I feel the beans they used are not this variety, or … they used old beans that should be discarded. Lastly on this, it is also very possible that the process they used to make low acid coffee is simply an inferior process, since other brands I’ve tried tasted much better. 4. In you have this brand; there is a way to boost the density and flavor to use up what you bought. Find a good instant coffee and add about 1/3 of whatever measure you would use to make a cup of instant coffee – to the Cafe Don Pedro cup that is produced. (Yes, the small amount of instant does add some acid, but not that much.) This is a way to use up the sub-standard Cafe Don Pedro you purchased. 5. The 5-star Ratings, in my opinion, are bogus. They are not written by genuine Amazon customers. You can see they are not verified. Amazon should remove these because the 5-star reviews are likely a fraudulent scheme to sell inferior coffee as 5-star coffee. They seem to be written by the same one or two people. To submit over 100 5-star ratings is quite an arduous task. It took a lot of planning and time to manufacture this scheme. 6. Based on false advertising, there should be no reason why you cannot return these to the seller. Amazon allows false advertising as a proper and acceptable reason to return this product, and that return cost is paid by the seller. You would receive a postage paid label through Amazon for this return. 7. All those who bought this coffee and did not like it, whether you returned it or not, should click on “write a review” and give it a 1-star rating. Lastly, I want to give those true coffee lovers who buy whole bean coffee, two important tips on making the best coffee. First, throw away your home coffee grinders. I don’t care how much you paid for them, there are extremely inferior to the large rectangle metal grinders you see in coffee houses or store such as Costco or Sam’s Club. If the coffee beans are not ground correctly, your coffee will not taste good. Here is why. All home grinders have a type of cutting blade similar to those used a blenders. They whirl around and “cut” the beans, not grind them. The problem is: some grounds are too fine (like powdered sugar) which makes the coffee taste bitter. Other grounds are too large or too course, making the coffee watery. Those huge professional in-store grinders ACTUALLY GRIND THE BEANS, not cut or chop. When the beans pass through these grinding plates (and they pass through only once), the size of the tiny pieces of beans is all the same size. And, of course, you can adjust the size you want, to fit the coffee brewer you use. Secondly, store ground coffee in the freezer. It stays fresher there. Ground coffee in your cupboard will lose much of its wonderful smell and flavor in only a few days. This is true whether you had beans ground or opened a can of pre-ground coffee, store it in the freezer.

I have a medical condition (interstitial cystitis) and have gone on a low acid diet to try and help. Coffee is, of course, acidic so I had to stop taking it. This was the one thing which I really missed and I found myself craving a cup of coffee, especially at breakfast time. I heard about low acid coffee but a search on the internet revealed that there appeared to be not a single supplier in the UK which sold it. It seemed that it was only available in the USA. It was possible to buy low acid coffee on Ebay (coming from the USA) but I wanted the decaf version and I could not find this. I was, therefore, delighted to find it being sold on Amazon. It is still being posted from America and obviously you have to pay the appropriate postal charges, but I thought it was worth it. It is lovely coffee - very mellow with not a hint of bitterness. I have bought myself a coffee machine (I only used instant coffee before) and I am now enjoying have a lovely cappuccino with my breakfast. The tin says that I should get 110 cups of coffee from each tin so thats not too bad. Yes it is expensive but definitely worth it and I intend to keep on buying it. I would also mention that low acid coffee is also good for those with digestive problems.

This Coffee has a really good taste, it's also the only coffee my IC will tolerate. After 4 years of not being able to drink coffee, it was a very welcome treat

Sorry but this tastes awful . Just paid £29 for one cup of coffee as will not be drinking more than one cup . Even if I liked it that small tin will not make 110 cups - very misleading and poor value for money
