The powered hub has so far worked well. I've connected two external hard drives, a DVD drive and a keyboard. No connection issues at all with any of the USB accessories. I like the fact that there are 7 ports. The only "drawback," if you can call it that, is the device's light weight. Each cord plugged into it tends to move it around so you have to balance which cords are plugged into each side or else use a command strip to attach it to a surface.

Exactly what I was looking for as far as small and thin. I needed something with multiple USB 2 ports to accomodate some peripherals for a laptop with 2 ports, 1 being USB 1.2.So, this review is really for the unboxing and ease of setup. it took all of about 5 minutes to get this hub out of the box and seen in the Win10 OS. Each peripheral I connected worked flawlessly.

I really like that it has a charger and 6 ports. The one I ordered only has three ports so it was a nice surprise. My mouse would not work through the first port although everything else works fine. My only complaint is that it's so light it won't stay put but the cord length is long enough to reach what I need, so that's a real plus. Also, I love that is powered. I would definately buy it again.

This hub is working great for me, and my favorite part is that I can power other USB devices from it whether or not it’s plugged into my laptop. I use my desk for work, as a makeup station (with USB vanity lights), and as a craft station, so being able to power multiple devices is great, in addition to running my mic and external hard drive to my laptop, which is what I bought it for.

Some devices that only need USB2 speeds, when plugged into a USB3 port, will work fine, but depending on how the device is made, it may end up using one of your USB3 resources, which are a limited pool. Other USB2 devices in a USB3 port will work erratically due to the different amount of power they offer. For these reasons, having a USB2 hub is still a very useful thing, and something a lot of people don't realize could help when they have problems with erratic USB device operation, devices flickering out of availability erratically, or error messages about USB resources. This slim, light hub is easy to tuck into a corner of your desk out of the way, plug into one of the one or two USB2 ports most computers still offer, and then you can plug your keyboard, mouse, webcam, and other devices that only use USB2 speeds and power, thus freeing up the USB3 ports and resources for the ever-increasing number of devices that need it. You might be surprised what a difference it can make!

Unfortunately I was not experienced with the purchase of this type of product. It is of good quality the length of the cord is good as well. Unfortunately I had bought it to have close to my bed to charge my phone and it took hours for it to charge my phone it wasn't strong enough so I can't imagine plugging it up to several things. I also consider that the price I paid for it was a lot considering my results. In fairness that is why I expressed I'm not experienced with this product so maybe I didn't know enough when I purchased it. I should have returned it and gotten something stronger but I didn't, that's on me.

I somehow broke my usb hub for my Microsoft Surface. So I looked at Amazon and purchased this one. It arrived quickly and appears to be of much better quality than my previous one. It also has 7 ports and my old one had 4. It connected immediately and has performed flawlessly. Thank you!

I've purchased this product out of a very specific necessity. My setup involves a long usb extension cable to connect to my computer on the other side of the room. The extension cable loses power in the distance between where my items connect and the computer. Additionally I needed a 2.0 hub as my devices, and the extension cable are all usb 2.0, and would not all operate at once with my usb 3.0 hub. After doing research and finding this as the only powered usb 2.0 hub on the market, I purchased it to ensure I could connect a headset, mouse, and keyboard at the same time. Additionally I didn't use this hub full time as I would use this hub part time as a home product, and retain my usb 3.0 hub to be used as a work device. This product wasn't used under any harsh conditions, and far under utilized considering it never had more than 4 of 7 ports used at any point in time. The hub began shorting after 4-5 months of use, however I was under the impression that the hub was just overloaded until it no longer would remain operating with as little as 2 devices, a keyboard and mouse, connected at a time. Currently I have reverted back to using my usb 3.0 hub as this BYEASY hub no longer works. I honestly am uncertain how a hub can fry itself in such a short amount of time with so little use.
