Very tight in Yi charger
Even though the batteries fit very good inside the Yi M1 mirrorless camera, if you own an external Yi charger, then you are going to notice, that the batteries are a very tight fit, and that it is difficult to remove the battery from the ext. charger. Therefore it is advisable to order the battery kit that comes with an external charger. Otherwise the batteries are excellent, and i would buy them again, if i had to.

Battery swelled up and died first charge.
I got two batteries and the first one swelled up and died on the first charge. I don't know if this is going to be an ongoing problem with this camera. I hope not. I'm on the second battery I received. Hopefully it will work just a little.

I needed these..
Some fit inside the camera and little more tighter than needed but does the job. Some batteries last longer than others if the same type.

The OEM batteries have a thermistor, a resistor that changes resistance based on temperature, which works through the "T" terminal on the battery. The camera can tell if the battery is getting too hot during use, or more likely charging, and stop charging. DSTE saved a few cents on these batteries by instead installing a normal resistor that always has the exact same resistance, regardless of temperature. So, the battery could be dangerously overheating during charging, and the camera would have no idea. There will be no safety shut-off. So - DO NOT charge these batteries in the camera. If they get too hot, they could easily swell, and get stuck in the camera, possibly even damaging it even if you were able to get it out. They could potentially even vent gases, or catch fire. That means that if you're charging them outside the camera, on a 3rd party charger like the one DSTE sells, which doesn't even bother having a contact for the T terminal, do not leave it unattended. If it starts to swell, unplug the charger immediately. If you hear the hissing of gases venting, unplug the charger immediately. Be prepared for it to catch fire, so don't charge it on or near anything flammable.
