SoftPro Functional Resting (WHFO) - Resting Hand Splint, Stroke Recovery, Adjustable Support Wrist and Hand Brace - Bend-to-Fit - Medium Right

While it is a little big for my daughter this is on me. She was born with cerebral palsy and suffers from severe contractures in her wrist. This brace is soft and allows us to splint her wrist in a more normal position while working on stretching those muscles out. It is soft and comes with a second cover which makes for easy washing. Love it! Worth the money.

It's soft and bends in all areas to adjust zo I'd say most hands My son has very spasticity tight weist and Finger hyperaktiv extension problems. It's is really a nice splint. I think to exspensive.

Using for spouse who had stroke. It works mostly as expected. Comfortable. Covering is soft and protects skin. Extra cover a plus. Like that the thumb support can be closed a bit to fit hand better. Ordered medium and it fit fine for my husband with normal man sized hand. Putting device on is a challenge to get all the straps assembled without Velcro sticking to wrong thing. He would never be able to get it on without my two hands to help. At night his fingers can still curl under the strap and the device has tendency to slide forward so thumb isn't under the strap.

A very nice splint and is very comfortable until it gets hot. It will be a great splint in the winter because it will keep your hand warm. In the summer it can get hot having it on. I loved the fact that they give you an extra cover. That way you can keep using it when you have a cover in the laundry. It is very well made and should last a good long time. The reason I got it was because my last splint that Medicare paid for didn't last a year and they only pay for one a year. I hope to get more than a years use out of this one.

Your form asks me to evaluate three elements of this item - Comfort, Lightweight & Value for Money. Considering the "job" this appliance is tasked to do, it cannot be too comfortable as it attempts to " straighten" ones stroke-affected hand (curling into a fist - sort of). That being said, and considering I'm pretty "judgie" of things in general, I cannot imagine a better item for my needs. It's as comfortable as it can be, it's lightweight &, on a limited budget, I can afford it. My Therapists recommended this particular item and custom adjusted it to my situation. I could be happier, if the brace installed itself on my hand-arm! Too much to ask? I'm lazy! AliMed SoftPro's sizing instruction should be followed. My Therapist questioned the size before she installed the brace. Afterward she acknowledged the fit was ... perfect for my big paw. End of day, I'm more than pleased/satisfied with my purchase.

Reasons for three is, it required two people or help to put it on it doesn't say one person can do it in description yes I have tried other expesive similar product with ease to put in I was able to do it after few day/weeks in my own after some struggle I can put it on myself but tough once on it stay there most of time Cheap inexpensive but not excatly as they show orsay 70% close Try it on mine be different for you ...I might return

I don't usually take the time to leave reviews; however - this product warranted it. My husband suffered a stroke 6 years ago and needs the brace to keep his hand in the correct position while sleeping. We have tried several different types of braces always with frustration at being able to get his hand in before he clenches or it's a trial to get him in the right position and get the velcro fastened. This brace is super soft; the straps work well - probably the best for his type of atrophy. The extra cover is super nice as he tends to wear Velcro out over time and this way we can wash a cover when it is dirty and clean the velcro without a day or two of downtime for drying. Thank you for making this product at a very reasonable price.
