SHIMANODeore 610 2-Finger Mountain Bicycle V-Brake Lever Set - BL-T610 (Black)

I installed a SHIMANO Deore BL-T610 left brake lever on my MTB. I installed a new 1x crankset so I removed the old brake/shifter lever combo & installed the BL-T610. It looks & functions great. Great Shimano quality once again.The BL-T610 I went w/ is painted black. It did not come in a Shimano box, I believe it to be an new OEM part. These brake levers are “2-finger” levers, meaning they are designed to be used w/just 2 fingers & not all four. They can be used for both linear pull (V-brakes) & mechanical disc brakes. The BL-T610 is I-spec B. This may be helpful when pairing w/a shifter or it may help to confuse you like a lot of us. The lever comes w/an open clamp band that measures 22.2mm. You can adjust the brake line tension w/the barrel spacer.Installation was simple. The lever clamps securely & I haven’t had any issues w/it shifting or moving on the handlebar. I have found it comfortable & easy to use. If I decide to upgrade my drivetrain, I will definitely purchase another BL-T610 for the right brake.EDIT: 03/25/20 - I purchased the BL-T610 right brake lever & it is a perfect match for the left. Was very adjustable and easy to put on, now my brakes are not squishy.

Not much to say. Easy to install, adjust, etc. Works as it should. Would never shy away recommending deore parts for nominal use. Durable, reliable, and reasonable price compared to something like xt or xtr. Installed on a retro steel mtb converted to a touring rig. Replaced cantis and the difference is night and day in terms of pressure needed, etc. I live and bike in the CO mountains, so cantis are taxing and not exactly confidence inspiring especially with extra weight on the bike.

I bought this because I dispise slide on levers. Good job on making a badass lever with hinged clamp abilities nobody likes destroying grips to remove levers very counter productive. Put on BMX race bike and kills it!!!!!

Perfect! It works better than the one it replaced.

Son used to replace the stock brake on his big flyer. He’s only 15 and was able to install himself. He almost always asks me for help but didn’t on this project. No complaints.

Cost-effective replacement for a broken V-brake lever. Does the job perfectly. Mechanics are smooth, and the finish looks nice.

So far it has been working good.

Solo es la maneta izquierda, el producto en sí tiene muy buena calidad, le da mil vueltas al generico que tenia en mi bici. Lo voy a devolver porque no puedo obtener el otro modelo derecho en amazon y a parte me vino sin cable. Mal servicio por parte de amazon que no especifica bien sus productos y lo que lleva.

Sobre la calidad general del producto nada que objetar. Pero matizar que el cable del freno trasero es demasiado corto. Yo se los he puesto a un "footbike" relativamente pequeño y no ha habido manera de que llegue, tengo que comprar otro cable más largo
