Was initially concerned about purchasing based on others reviews however my experience has been nothing but good with this tool set. The main concerns I read in other’s comments were: 1. Tools broke while trimming/cutting 2. Tools arrived rusted Neither of these issues occurred with the tools I received. They arrived sharp with no visible rust and the cutting area of all tools was very sharp. Initially I was very conservative about my limb trimming based on the concerns around tool breakage however I have since been able to easily cut 1/4” to 1/2“ limbs without concern. I’m sure this is dependent on the hardness of the wood you’re attempting to trim however I would say if while trimming the cutting edge will not slice any further into the wood and instead the pressure you are creating at the handle is what is driving the tool further than you likely need to sharpen the tool or use a different tool. Otherwise you are no longer cutting you’re snapping (either the wood or the tool...) If you’re new to the hobby, like myself, I highly recommend trying this set for the price!

These are actually fairly nice tools. I had them in my cart and ordered then canceled due to some of the reviews and answered questions. Nervously I canceled the order and then re-ordered them. As the photo suggest they are very nice and quality. I received a gift of a similar item that was very poor quality, so I ordered these. I am a craftsman by trade, in the automotive field. I understand quality tools. No I have not use these yet to find out metal strength or whether they will bend, they appear to be of a decent quality for the money. Becoming a nice cloth sack also.

I was very impressed by the quality. Was a bit confused about the shapes of the tools but I've learned they have a specific purpose. I used the big cutters on a big branch and cut cleanly. And best thing, they don't rust

I purchased this set primarily for the knob cutters, to work on my large Brazilian Rain Tree, which has developed knobs along the main trunk and some of the branches. These tools were incredibly helpful for these tasks. They easily handled both large chunks and small, delicate bits. The knob cutters are very sharp, and the size is perfect—not too big or too small, making them comfortable to use. I am also pleasantly surprised by the scissors. They are sharp enough to handle both fine and larger trimmings with ease. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this set!

Great tools for starting. Sturdy and well made. Edges line up perfectly. Used the branch cutter and knob cutter on 1/2-3/4 inch branches-cut great. Each tool is in its own sleeve and it comes with a nice cloth drawstring bag. Well worth the much lower price than the kits sold on the bonsai sites.
