Superior motorcycle headlight
I purchased this headlight to replace the cheesy plastic unit that came standard on my 2013 Triumph Rocket III Touring. The standard lamp left much to be desired both in brightness and beam pattern. The Hella 002395071 with a Hella Xenon blue bulb (55/60W) cured all those problems. The beam pattern is ideal for motorcycles which, unlike cars, lean into corners, leaving the rider with a "driving into a black hole" sensation at night. Not so with the Hella. Those German engineers did their homework on this light. The low beam pattern is so good that the high beam is almost superfluous, in fact, if this lamp has any shortcoming, it's that the high beam is too broad to be effective for long range. Installation was simple as this light comes with the mounting reference tabs which lock into the mounting ring on most bikes.

I can SEE!
For three years, I was under the impression that the British simply didn't want us to ride our Bonnevilles after sunset. It seemed that the stock lamp was good for finding the road five feet in front of you and nothing more. I installed this lamp in under 15 minutes. I bought the 60/55W halogen bulb to light my way. The first night I took the bike out I realized just how much I had been missing. The low beam has a great path. I agree with other users that the high beam is a little washed out, but I'm not sure I would need to ever use the high beam. The low beam is so effective. Buy one today! 2007 Triumph Bonneville

perfect beam pattern
Look no further, buy this one! Left hand drive, perfect beam pattern! Nice bright light using Sylvania Silverstar Ultra, although any new good quality halogen will work great as well. The nicest one you will find for your motorcycle.

Good for hella, bad info from amazon, comes with a parabolic reflector, never showed in pic or detailed.
I can see... i put it in a 98 suzuki samurai, mine comes with an annoying parabolic reflector, i put it off because the existing left headlamp does not have it. very bad the information from amazon, the pattern its not the same as show in the picture, mine comes with the pattern as showed in this document. hella have a lot of product codes, so its very difficult to find the correct product. http://www.hella.com/toc/es/4C83A0C7F087018FD1468C633B4F815B71.srv?dlg=CtxCtrDocumentServer&action=GetArticleDocument&DocType=PDF&docId=3504

Hella excellence as always!
I have been using Hella H4 lamps in my American cars since the late 80s because of the superior beam pattern. It is difficult to compare these lights to sealed beam units because these are in a different class. You get more light on the road, with less blinding of oncoming traffic. It's a win-win situation for everyone. This is why the rest of the world mandates these, the US is the only country that requires sub-standard lighting. My safety is more important to me than that.

Romanian Glass Not Good
This light had an odd distorted pattern. You need one actually made in Germany.
