The Adidas Women's Samba Snowboard Boot features a medium-soft flex for a natural, tweakable feel in the terrain park and soft, easy-going comfort on the rest of the mountain. The comfort doesn't come at a cost in support, however. The Adidas Active heel Harness and 3D Molded Spine are designed to give the Samba natural flex and add support at the same time. The Women's Samba uses a traditional lace system because it's lightweight, easy to use, and easy to repair. The transitional scaled laces and locking hardware provide dual-zone tightening for a custom fit. The removable liner is thermomoldable for a custom fit, and Adidas even added recycled coffee grounds to the liner to fight odors. The midsole's shock-absorbing EVA foam distributes impacts to avoid injury or irritation. The sole is made with Continental wet/dry rubber compound for optimal grip in all conditions. Adidas finished off the Samba with a Recco reflector, which doesn't replace an avalanche beacon but can help rescuers find you in an emergency.
