Blue Power Carbolic Soap 125G

Strong-smelling (that's what I bought it for), long-lasting, powerful soap. I bought a few bars of this and the other brand a while back but this is the one I'm re-ordering. Other Brand adds an undercurrent of smoke to the classic Carbolic scent (you might like that; personal preference) but this one serves it up straight. Also kept its shape all the way down to a sliver, where the Other Brand developed ugly cracks before it was halfway worn down. It certainly doesn't hurt that it is priced with regular soap at the grocery store with free delivery, either. Nice, deep red color that is probably not a dye and doesn't seem to stain, and one of my favorite scents; right up there with Hoppe's #9 and Indian Head Gasket Shellac. Although I consider it a masculine scent I personally would find it deeply intriguing on a woman. On anyone it smells of Clean. Does a good job holding down the Desert Storm Souvenir rash and may even be improving the toenail fungus. Good Stuff.

PLUS: It is a good soap on the respect of clearing up some minor skin irritants, like acne. It's a damn good cleansing soap; tested not using deodorant once and it was amazing that I never noticed the whole day. On that fact alone, well worth it! NEGATIVE: The smell, is like a automotive garage; a mixture of gasoline and tires. The 'scent' is so damn overpowering it's unreal. I tried leaving it sit out a couple days; no luck, that smell is pungent! It lit up my entire bathroom and hallway. (Whew!) You do smell it on your body for about an half an hour then it disappears, but honestly I eventually ended up trashing it; I could no longer take the strong scent. 😔

This is your down to basics, no nonsense soap that cuts through dirty hands and body oils perfectly. It cuts though grease and smells like leather but that smell dissipates your shower. It's strongly scented and might not be for everyone but it takes care of minor skin abrasions or irritations. Leaves your kin squeaky clean. For a shower soap, that's basically what I want. I don't want to shower with an oily moisturizing soap that will leave a coating on my shower walls and floor. I can moisturize my skin later after but for getting clean, this soap is the best.

Have been looking for carbolic soap offline, never found it. Now I'm glad, because this is serious carbolic soap! It has the right smell, lathers extremely well, and cleans you, body and hair, like nothing else can. The scent is strong at first, but that's good, it means there's enough carbolic in this to do the job. And yes, the scent is characteristic - it comes from the active ingredient. I am really glad I found this, because it's exactly what I was looking for. Thank you, Blue Power Group Ltd.!

NOT A MEDICAL STATEMENT - Just my own opinion. I had a recurring skin issue for which I tried everything. Medicated lotion, powders, allergy medications… That I read about a bacteria that caused similar symptoms, then bought the old fashioned soap! It smells really strong and medicinal (and it lingers) but it works. You don’t want get to use it every day, as it might disrupt a healthy biome, but when I use it periodically, it helps.

Strong scent… like the whole bathroom STRONG SCENT. Does what it says. Wasn’t miraculous but with regular use and frequent cool water washes helped clear a rash from the summer heat.

Wow what a interesting product this is. It’s heavy and dense so 4oz soap looks like a sampler but lasts a long times, maybe 3x a typical Dove bar, doesn’t break like most soaps, doesn’t dry skin like soaps (not Dove), and apparently is anti-bacterial too. The only thing keeping it from being perfect is the very strong but non-offensive petroleumy smell.
