Wall Nanny - Baby Gate Wall Protector (4 Pack) Protects Walls and Doorways from Pet & Dog Gates - for Child Pressure Mounted Stair Safety Gate - No Safety Hazard on Bottom Spindles

I used these Wall Nanny ‘pads’ to fit 3 different pet gates (similar to child gates, but designed for pets). I found them easy to fit and very effective at spreading the load on wallpaper (to avoid damage), and/or, improving the grip on gloss-painted wooden door-frames (where the ‘pads’ supplied with the pet gates struggled to grip sufficiently). Note that I also used some of the ‘extended’ version of these Wall Nanny pads for the gate across the foot of the stairs, as the opening was slightly too wide for the pet gate, as supplied, and these were also easy to fit and effective. I found that I could happily mix the 2 types of Wall Nanny pads, as necessary, for the same pet gate, depending on the opening size, presence of skirting board on one side, etc. Recommended accessory for fitting pet/child gates, as necessary.

These wall protectors are brilliant and super easy to attach (I paired these with a Hauck Baby Gate). I needed these as I didn't want the walls to be marked or potentially damaged and they definitely do the job very well. No movement, no marks left and provide extra piece of mind with safety gates in the house.

Value for money, does well in protecting wall, and good materials

Such a good product and saved our door frames. No drilling needed and the gate is now fit tight and secure, even when our little one is trying to pull himself to standing on it. It is very safe.

Works perfectly with Lindam Munchkin gate. These aren’t the cheapest but they are perfect at what they do. Generous opening to slot the gate legs into which also contain a hole allowing you to screw them to a wall for added safety. We needed to mount a gate in the middle of a wall. To avoid the pressure fitting punching a hole in the drywall, this product disperses the pressure. Add a small 4x30mm screw for added safety. At the end of the day, a screw hole is easier to patch than glue residue that needs scraping off.

These work so well. The gate is very stable in these. As you can see from the video when I give the gate a really good push and pull the gate moves a bit but the wall nanny's stay put. At the moment I only have a 10 month old but after rigorously testing this myself I am confident the gate will hold on the wall thanks to these. Incase any one wants to know the gate I use is the dreambaby chealsea extra tall.

This product is highly effective as it spreads the pressure on the surface to which a child gate is attached (reducing damage) and avoids any slipping. It also lessened the gap my gate needed to cover which helped me with my particular stairs / gate. However, on removing the gate I found an oily mark on my emulsion paint which spelt out the wall nanny name. I could only remove it by cleaning and repainting. I do not recommend it for use on emulsion paint unless you are happy to repaint but it did not damage my varnished banister nor painted skirting board. On balance, I would prefer a product that left no marks at all - but I will still use this product if I cannot find a better alternative due to the more robust feel it gives to the gate.

Bought this after seeing a good review from a person that has a dalmatian only our pooch is on a smaller scale but can jump high over small gate & this tall gate is perfect for the job. Easy to fit so easy to open certainly a good strong sturdy gate. Very pleased with this purchase .

Does exactly what you expect. There are holes that you could use to screw them on to the wall, but we found that the rubber/silicon pads provided enough grip, when the gate is pushed against the walls, that screwing wasn't necessary. Really helped with the skirting boards as well by providing a wider contact area to the wall. We haven't taken them off yet of course, but as there is no screwing or adhesive I can only assume that the walls will be unmarked at the end of use.
