mophie juice pack Helium for iPhone 5/5s/5se (1,500mAh) - Silver

I bought this after my iPhone started dying before the day was even half over. The case is easy to use and not only charges the phone up in a hurry, but is also pretty quick to charge when you plug in it's own charging cable. My only complaint echos that of other reviewers when they mention the built-in earphone port that requires either a very small-headed earphone plug or the cable that comes with the case. While the included cable works fine, what do you do with it when it's not plugged in? And by the way, plugging it in and leaving it there is not an option if you are not using it because it disables the speakers and redirects the sound to the earphone port. On the Iphone 4 version of this case, the charging port is on the side of the device and so the Mophie case is only slightly bigger than the phone. In this case, Mophie chose to put a Micro USB charging port on the bottom of the phone instead of on the side which required that the bottom part of the case be deeper and so made the case longer. Now the phone + case requires a pretty long holster and the regular "plus size" cases that used to work for the old Mophie are too short for this one. The outside dimensions of the Mophie case are 5.5in x 2.5in x 0.6in.Overall for me, the PROs outweigh the CONs because I needed the battery power and it does what it's supposed to and does it well. For some people the added size and even the minimal extra weight of the case is a deal killer. Honestly, I think the case is pretty light considering the benefits and is way less hassle than carrying around an external battery pack. I do have those extra battery packs too and they are awesome, but the Mophie means you don't need anything but the phone. I'd buy it again.

When I updated my 1st generation SE from iOS 13 to 14, battery problems began. The iPhone would literally eat up the battery sitting overnight in an idle state, often going from 99% to 2% overnight. This is apparently a common problem with iOS 14 so I tried a ton of tricks posted on the web and none of them really helped. Interestingly, if the iPhone is reading 2%, a soft reboot of the phone will come back and typically show the battery at 50-70%.I bought this battery case because the iPhone really can't be trusted to reliably tell you how much battery power is really left in the phone. The Juice Pack is well built and I know that it's internal backup battery holds almost as much (almost, not 100%) as a regular iPhone battery, so if I need the phone for critical work I can snap the Juice Pack on and if the iPhone decides to drop from a reasonable power level (like 70-80%) down to 2% in twenty minutes, I can just switch the Juice Pack on and feel safe.FYI, I recently upgraded the iPhone from iOS 14 to 15 and found that by disabling the cellular network, WiFi, and Bluetooth overnight it seems to help, but I no longer trust any of Apple's iOS releases to be reliable or predictable.

This product is to die for. I've had it for a while, and it's worked miracles.The case itself feels durable with a phone in it, but not quite so without. The paint on it does come off, but I took mine out in the rain, so that might be the problem. As for protection, it works just like an Otterbox. No cracks in my screen yet.Now battery life could use some work, but it usually gets me through a full day of use. It charges about 80-90% for the first few uses, and 70-80% after that. All in all, great battery.Now, the headphone jack adapter that comes with the case needs work in a few areas. The first is that it's flimsy. Mine broke in just a few months time, and I've had to replace it. Using it in your pocket feels like it'll snap in two. Another area of work is size. This thing is unnecessarily long. It's got at least a full inch of bulk, which could relate to the flimsiness, as its center is twice as thin as the ends. I recommend getting a better adapter with this case.Overall, great case. Great size, amazing protection, long-lasting battery, and it comes with an adapter. If you need a power case, pick up one of these. You'll thank me later.

I am so happy with my Mophie purchase. This is the best phone case I have ever had! I had the same Mophie in purple for 16 months but it was pretty beat up because am a big klutz and am always dropping my phone. I saw that some reviews gave this case 1 and 2 stars and I just don't know how that's possible. This case has been my savior, it is like iPhone armor AND when I need an extra charge it gives almost a whole extra battery life! I would definitely recommend! The only thing that I would point out though is that this case does not protect the screen so I would recommend getting a glass cover for the screen. My first glass screen protector had a nice collection of cracks in it but it protected my actual phone screen from cracking.

This is the least ugly battery case I could find that is certified and will actually work. I tjhink it's overpriced as it doesn't even charge the phone 100% but I couldn't find any better device
