Not official, but still works the same!
I bought this after I noticed that my Sony blu-ray player remote stopped working and after going through several sets of batteries, decided I needed to get a new one. Now this is not (I don’t think) an official Sony remote, but it works great. Just like my old remote did. It does have a different texture and maybe seems a bit cheaper than the original Sony remote. But at least it works and that’s mostly what matters to me.

received remote one day early
Remote came in a padded shipping envelope. Remote was in a plastic sleeve. Nothing else in the package. No specs, programming instructions etc…. Couldn’t find the remote for an old DVD to use in our travel trailer to use when we don’t have WI-FI for our Roku Tv. Was going online to get instructions to sync with my blue ray dvd but thought I would try it first. Well it worked ! No instructions needed.

Excellent, Functional, Replacement Remote for Sony S3700
I was looking for a replacement for my Sony S3700 BluRay player. After extensive research, I determined that this particular remote was a functional replacement for the original. Excellent in price, and last risky than buying a used one, I tried all of the functions I commonly use and they worked flawlessly! The remote is compatible with this model of Sony BluRay player, and the ease of not having to use generic commands or mapped buttons was a big relief. I highly recommend this product. Please note that the remote required 2 AAA batteries, which were not included.
