Really helped with a longer coated dog

I was having intermittent contact problems with a Mini Educator and a Belgian Malinois because of the thickness of the fur on her mane (Mali owners will know what I mean). This has pretty much solved the problem and is clearly more comfortable for the dog

I guess not many people in the UK are using a Mini Educator - for one thing, you'd probably need a USA to UK power transformer to recharge. If you are though, and are having any problems with contact, on a long-hair or double coat dog, this will solve your issues and by widening the contact area it also changes the sensation of Stim corrections to be less of a "pinch". I also recommend this for use on human males in training.

Worked magic on my Pomeranian when other points would not make a contact with the skin and would work on and off ...

The contact was very irregular so I tried it on myself and lo and behold, it didn’t even feel like anything. I tried it at 27 (I have a dogtra with over 100 levels).

I’m now on my third pair of these in under a year, and unfortunately, I won’t be buying another. While these wings are meant to part the fur and ensure better contact with the dog’s neck, the build quality just isn’t there — every pair I’ve owned has snapped within just a few weeks of use. I was hesitant to buy a second pair after the first broke, but due to ongoing behavioural issues with my dog, I needed a working e-collar solution urgently. When the second set failed after only three months, I gave them one more chance. Now, with yet another broken pair, I’m moving on. These are simply not reliable enough for regular use. I’ll be looking for solid replaceable tips with more durability instead — ideally something that can handle the day-to-day demands of training with my Dogtra unit.

I've got a 100 lb. shepherd mix with a very dense double-coat. I bought the Educator ET 300 mini a couple of years ago with the ultimate aim of achieving safe off-leash freedom for him wherever that is allowed. I tried all the different contact points that came in the kit and found them all to be hit-or-miss in terms of consistent, reliable contact (and therefore, communication). When the contacts worked, the collar was an amazingly effective tool. But since timing is so critical in communicating and training, the inconsistency, the failures to deliver the signal exactly when needed (or far too often, not at all), significantly undermined the process. I wound up using the "tapping"/pager function of the collar because he could at least feel it every time I hit the button. In low distraction situations and inside games like "hide and seek", the pager got 100% responses. However, there were times, outside, with big distractions, when it just wasn't enough to get his attention. For the longest time, the price of this CPAD contact seemed just too high to be worth it. To get the e-stim function to work reliably, I bought the longest contacts available, tried tightening the collar, experimented with different placements on his neck, etc. But no matter what I tried, contact was always inconsistent. When the signal went through, I get a good response. But more often than not, he didn't feel a thing. It was very frustrating. A couple of weeks ago, I finally "bit the bullet" and ordered this contact pad. It's been absolutely amazing. With his collar significantly looser, he is still getting consistent contact, feeling the communication signal clearly with the dial set as low 4 or 5 (out of 100). This pad has finally turned the Educator Mini into the powerful, humane, effective training tool it was always meant to be. It's worth every penny to be back on track to getting him the freedom he deserves!

My chocolate lab, Georgie, has VERY thick fur around his neck; it’s like a lion’s mane. The original nubs didn’t make contact so I searched for alternatives compatible with his Mini Educator. It solved our problem beautifully, and the price is very reasonable.

Gekocht omdat de standaard pinnen geen contact maakten en langere pinnen pijn en wondjes veroorzaakten. Deze waren absoluut niet comfortabel. De uiteinden zijn heel hard en niet flexibel. In de plaats degene voor kortharigen gekocht, voor mijn Zwitserse herder. Deze maakten goed contact en nooit last van pijn/oncomfortabel gehad. Wel gebroken na 6 maand normaal gebruik. Heel jammer.

Tried two of this pads and both broke after a month or so. They are made to week! For an expensive item as this you expect it to hold for longer than a month:(
