Ammonium Lactate Lotion 12% C-P, Fliptop - (400grams/14oz) - Pack of 2

I have ichthyosis on my legs. After googling a bit, I found this term (also used by another reviewer here.. which is accurate!) and noticed that the google images of ichthyosis look like flaky fish type of skin which was my condition also. The recommended cream was Ammonium Lactate so I bought this bottle and finished the whole thing. It definitely takes a few months but after religiously applying everyday after shower for few months (I think about 5 months), I saw the decrease in the look of ichthyosis on my skin :) This thing WORKS and it's cheaper than going to a dermatologist or having to cover my legs for rest of my life (Im a 30 year old girl). TRY IT! btw.. I still have a bit of ichthyosis left so I still use this cream and now its been almost a year (onto bottle number 2). I dont think I will stop using this until its completely gone.

This product is great for dry skin. It is actually the best product I have used for that condition. I liked it so much I bought more to give to my grandkids. Excellent product.

This lotion, smells funny and burns. It’s supposed to. It works really well. I have ichthyosis and used to have to get a prescription for this lotion. I found it here and was worried it wasn’t the real thing. It seems like it is legit. It smells the same and works the same as the old Rx lotion I used to get from the pharmacy. Do not use this cream if you have normal skin. It’s not necessary. If you have bad skin like mine, it will work. It isn't pleasant, which is why I mix it with Aveeno, but it works and my skin looks and feels more normal than it does when I don’t use it. I will be buying again.

Makes my skin smooth. I will order again. Opening the lotion after receiving was a bit “shocking”. The chemical reaction during shipping caused an electric shock similar to touching a wire. More than a static electricity shock in winter. It lasted for a few days when dispensing the lotion; annoying. I “googled” the incident and found it to be fairly common. There should be a warning on the box or label.

My son suffers from a genetic skin condition that scales the dry skin and does not allow the skin to flake off as normally. I can't remember exactly what the condition is. The Dermatologist that diagnosed him suggested that we use Amalactin cream with Ammonium Lactate. That product never really worked I am assuming that it is so to the lower percentage of Ammounium Lactate. That product is also much much more expensive. All I have to say is this product is extemely good. My son's skin has cleared up dramatically. His skin begin to clear up noticeably within the first 10 days of daily use and the price can't be beat. Highly recommend this product.

Have been using this product since early 1990’s, when it still required a prescription. It was recommended to me by my dermatologist for eczema, which flares in winter with use of constant central heat. Other than its somewhat off-putting ammonia smell on application (which quickly fades), I recommend it without reservation. I’m also very allergic to artificial perfumes, and do not have any problem with this lotion. My husband also uses it all winter long for his dry hands and arms.

I've been using this lotion for 10+ years now on my dry feet every night. It works great. Curiously, my cat loves it too! Not sure what the appeal is, but I wake up in the night with the cat licking my toes. Doesn't make him sick, so I guess it's okay, but he sure does like the stuff.

I WISH I KNEW THIS EXISTED! So two years ago, out of now where I got folliculitis which is basically horrible in grown hairs all the time all other my legs. I didn't know it was a condition. I tried new razors, nair, no razors, you name it and the bumps always appeared. I had people asking "what happened?! Ohmygosh are those bug bites?" I hated my legs. This lotion clears my legs up. I still shave and now I get maybe a few ingrown hairs a month which is 90% better than what my legs use to be like. This lotion doesn't emphasis this use and only emphasis the dry skin part. This was a game changer. I will probably be using this stuff forever.
