Grandaughter broke Granda's previous plastic magnifying glass! Could have bought one exactly the same but went for this one instead. It's really good quality and not lightweight but not too heavy either. Would recommend for value for money and nice to look at!

This is a nicely produced item that is comfortable to use and looks good and sturdy. For the money it is good value although the lens is not of very high quality. Its value to the user will depend on what is required - you may not always get the detail that is wanted.

Exactly what I was looking for: small enough to be light in the hand yet powerful enough to enlarge small text to a readable level. An excellent purchase.

love it pity there is not one twice the size a larger version

There are two types metal and plastic both look the same same type of box. I have both. The metal version out shines the plastic one, more powerful across the glass lens no distortion the metal version strong and perfect.

Used for the general reading of the small or obscure script, and photos, only negative an extra magnifying bubble or blip would have been an asset

The handle will not screw in the the mainframe Very disappointed , the whole idea was that I could hold it by the handle. Await your reply Margaret

Excellent product. Made of glass, very clear to look through. I bought plastic ones before and they ended in the trash. These are great.

La lente di ingrandimento è comoda nella misura in cui si tenga in considerazione che il manico è decisamente più leggero dell'occhiello della lente. Il kit viene consegnato con queste due parti separate che poi vanno avvitate tra loro ed, una volta in mano, la comodità di impugnatura è accettabile ma non eccezionale dal momento che il peso tende a sbilanciarsi troppo verso la lente rispetto al manico. Ad ogni modo, per il prezzo pagato, la qualità è più che buona, la resa estetica c'è a patto di amare uno stile un po' retrò, e la presenza anche di un piccolo panno per la pulizia della lente rende l'acquisto completo e tutto sommato raccomandabile per esigenze amatoriali. Infine riguardo all'effettivo grado di ingrandimento della lente: non ho fatto misurazioni precise ma mi sentirei di dire che posizionandosi alla giusta distanza focale si riesce ad ottenere fino all'ingrandimento di 10 volte annunciato, ovviamente questo potrà avvenire sono in determinate circostanze e per dettagli non superiori ai 6 mm che, altrimenti, fuoriuscirebbero gioco forza dal diametro stesso della lente o con eccessiva distorsione ai bordi.
