FB3001 Large Shaft Universal CV Boot

Exactly what was needed. Much thicker and better quality than the boot that came off. Fit perfectly and it came with the clapt straps to keep it in place. A great value for the money!

Needed to fix axel in an Escalade, the Axel shaft is 29mm and the CV Joint end is 100mm the spec in the pic lists 85mm and axel size of 19-24 But the rubber is flexible and easily stretches... I give this 4 stars . i did not like the clamps and had lots of thicker ones so i used those ..

2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 A bit loose, particularly on the narrow axle shaft side. That made it a bit of a trick to get it tight enough with the clips. But all in all very happy to save $250 for a new axle when the boot had only just failed. I will see how long they last. They seem solid enough, maybe a bit more rubbery than I had expected.

Had to replace the boot on the driver side CV joint of a 2009 GMC Sierra 4x4. While it did work, was not a perfect fit, but to be expected with a "universal'. Material is quite stretchy and flexible- more so that the OEM or any others I have used in the past, so we'll see how long it lasts. The included clamps are cheap and weak. I used a more heavy duty stainless set I keep on hand for this exact reason. I would not trust the ones that came with. I'll update is there are any issues or additional feedback.

Worked for a 2018 chevrolet silverado 1500 4x4 outer boot

Didn’t work on my truck. Ended up just replacing whole part instead of just boot.

This boot worked perfectly to replace the original torn boot. The bands were also easy to install. I did not repair it on the vehicle. I removed the axle.

Worked well for 2013 Tahoe, used the giant cone. Lube up the cone , when the going gets tough- as it will mid cone- use a clean shop rug wrapped losely around the cone and use that to push on the boot. I found it easier to push with the cone standing on the ground and stop when the boot got to the flat part at the wide end of the cone, then move the entire thing to the CV axle and do the final push there.

Disclaimer : long term testing has not been done but installation and fit and finish were great (only a few kms on for now). Installed this on a 2013 Dodge ram 1500 4x4. Was a fraction of the price of anyone one else. Came with grease and nice super tight fitting adjustable boot clamps. Beware you may have to stretch the boot rather far around sealing circumference of cv joint for some applications, I believe this to be normal being a universal part. Will purchase again for sure as long as the long term works out on this daily driver.
