Great Quality and works well at full speed
Ordered this item as I was having issues with Realtek devices, I was only getting around 400Mbps Download and 107Mbps Up, tried adjusting send and receive buffers and switching off USB power saving in control panel as well as on the USB Hub setting in device manager. Worked with ChatGPT to investigate the issue running through various steps troubleshooting and an AXIS chipset was the next step, so I ordered this item and straight away on first test I got 907Mbps Down and 108Mbps Up which is perfect for my advertised speed from Vodafone. Also tested this device via a USB A converter to USB-C converter and phone gets roughly the same speeds. Since ordering I had resolved the Realtek issue: The following changes worked: ✅ 1. Removing the existing USB 3.x / USB4 / SuperSpeed drivers Many Laptop models ship with: Microsoft’s generic USB 3.1/3.2 eXtensible Host Controller drivers, and older USB4 routing/hub drivers These can: Throttle isochronous and bulk transfers (like Ethernet over USB), Misreport link speed negotiation, Enforce aggressive power saving by default. By removing them, Windows auto-installs newer or cleaner baseline controllers, eliminating the stale configs. ✅ 2. Installing the latest .NET version (Dev Channel) This matters because: Modern USB/Thunderbolt network drivers use .NET dependencies for control panels, Some adapters fail to apply advanced NIC properties if the runtime environment is outdated. So indirectly, you improved driver/config handling. ✅ 3. Installing the October Cumulative Preview Those builds for 26220 include: Updated USB4 framework Improved PCIe-over-USB handling Fixes for networking stack throttling (especially NDIS-related) Reduced latency in USB NICs Power policy corrections All of that affects Realtek/ASIX USB Ethernet adapters.

Does the job
Does the job and can't ask any more of it. Nice little unit that fits in my kit bag and has been compatible with every computer I've ever used it with no drivers necessary.

Working well
Using this on an older laptop that only has 100Mbps ethernet. No problems getting it working - just plug and play with Windows 10 (assuming it would have no issues with Win 11 which is pretty much 10 with a few stupid changes). It's actually running faster than the motherboard based ethernet on my main PC. Good product.

USB Lan
Typical UGreen product. Well presented and having plugged it into my 17 year old pc with a faulty LANCard it works very well so does my pc with a ssd drive. I have always whenever bought UGreen products. Just keep being competitive and I and many 1000s will keep buying. Well Done UGreen.

Rock-Solid Gigabit Speeds in a Sleek, Premium Package
Performance: Full Speed Ahead The performance is, in a word, flawless. I plugged it into a USB 3.0 port, connected my Ethernet cable, and a speed test immediately confirmed I was getting the full gigabit speeds from my internet plan. Downloads are lightning-fast, video calls are crystal clear with no interruptions, and the connection is rock-solid. For anyone tired of Wi-Fi dropouts or lag spikes during crucial moments, this is the solution. Build Quality and Design UGREEN has nailed the design. The adapter features a beautiful, space-grey aluminium casing that not only looks and feels premium but also does an excellent job of dissipating heat during use. It feels incredibly durable, and the braided cable adds to the sense of quality. There are also helpful LED indicator lights on the body that show connection and activity status at a glance, which is a thoughtful touch. Ease of Use: Truly Plug-and-Play The best part was the setup: there was none. I'm using Windows 11, and the adapter was recognised and working within seconds of being plugged in—no drivers, no software, no fuss. It’s the definition of plug-and-play. Its small size makes it incredibly portable, and it has now earned a permanent spot in my laptop bag.

Works straight out of box on Ubuntu 24.04 and Win11
I have an elderly i7 Lenovo ideapad 500 running Win 10 which I upgraded to 16GB RAM and replaced the original HDD with a SSD. Another "feature" it has is a damaged shield over the RJ45 ethernet port. This shield also acts so as to keep a RJ45 plug in place -well it did. Now, a RJ45 plug just flops and fails to reliably maintain electrical contact. With a smartphone doing pretty much everything I need away from home, the laptop had become something of a spare used only occasionally. As the laptop neccessarily used WiFi for connectivity I found it struggling under the heavy network load Win10 and some of the installed apps imposed at times. As it was not possible to upgrade it to Win 11 I decided to install Ubuntu (24.04) and I'm pleased to say that gave it a whole new lease of life but I also decided to see if a Ethernet-USB adaptor would make much of an improvement. The UGreen device had an attractive price, received good reviews and claimed to be plug and play so I ordered one - with Amazon prme it arrived within ~2 hrs of ordering BTW. I tried it on my Win11 desktop first. I plugged it in and it worked straight away, no drivers needed. I then tried plugging it into its intended host, the Lenovo laptop. I must confess that here I was expecting to have to do more to get things to work but, no, a couple of clicks on a desktop netwrk icon to enable wired ethernet was all that was needed to get it running. I must confess that I was pleasantly surprised. The performance is surprisingly good too. The ookla speed test indicates download speeds of 200Mb/s. Great product, does exactly what it claims. If you need one get one!
