Great fun is ahead of you, on so many levels
I love this stuff. I just lightly put in a tip of a feather into the bottle and dip it on to the fly. A couple 10 seconds with the little UV pen light and its done. Don't expose it until your stuff is positioned perfect with potential drips or material position placement since it will cure immediately as it. It does quick artsy stuff and its work on the flies is immediate and able to be handled... in a few seconds, not minutes. I can't say enough of how much I like this stuff.

So convenient
This product is amazing, just apply with care and expose to uv light, you will get a clear transparent hard product.

Good stuff!
I LOVE Solarez, it’s a great product. My only complaint is the cost. However, if you’re seeing the best, you have to expect it to be expensive.

Great stuff!
Slightly pricey, but it's my "go to" UV resin. Dries dry and hard. Great for heads for saltwater flies (Bonefish Bitters), and great for getting "3D" effects out of holographic eyes on EP baitfish patterns, etc.

Does not resist solvents, this is a standard polyester resin
There's nothing in the description to say what kind of resin this is, but based on it's characteristics before, during, and after curing, I can only assume that this is a common polyester resin. Which is fine if that's what you want, it does work very well for what it is, although the cheap stuff from China is going to work just as well since there's not a lot of difference in composition. So, I would say that this stuff is a bit expensive. That said, I wanted to know if this was resistant to solvents, I asked in the questions and someone answered saying that it was, at least to isopropyl alcohol, but that's not true. If you don't look at it carefully after exposing it to IPA, then maybe you would think it is, but if you rub the surface with IPA you'll find a lot of small scratches because the IPA slightly dissolves the top surface. Which, again, is typical of polyester resins. This same company has vinyl ester resins that are also UV curing, I purchased that instead after realizing this stuff was no good for my application. With a mercury vapor lamp, the vinyl ester cures very well and is actually resistant to solvents, no little scratches from rubbing with IPA. This is important to me because I need to sterilize the surface and IPA is the easiest way to do this. In short, if you need something that's resistant to chemicals, a vinyl ester resin is what you should get, not this stuff. The problem is that a lot of companies don't say what their resin is, so if you need something specific, I would avoid anything that doesn't specify what it is. Otherwise you'll waste your money like I did by buying something you can't really use.
