Fantastic deal for the money.
Is this the best guitar available on the internet? Probably not. But for the money and with all you get it's a great deal. I got this for my 9yo daughter's birthday. She has been wanting a real guitar after receiving a toy one last year that she played till most of the strings broke. She helped me pick this one out, saying she just loved the blue one. It arrived quickly and although the packaging was slightly damaged, all the contents were fine. It actually ships IN the gig bag to help protect it (great idea). It looks gorgeous except for a few very minor paint flaws on the edges. It took me a little while to tune it, but thank goodness for the pitch pipe tuner or I would have never got it right. My daughter blew it in my ear while I tuned each string up. :) It sounds REALLY good for such an inexpensive intrument, and it seems to be holding it's tune to within about a whole tone. I was worried that the strings would snap given the other reviews here, but we had no such problems. Still, we have the extra strings just in case. My only caveat to the whole deal is the strap. There is only one anchor point on the guitar body for the strap, so without adding your own mount or geting a string to wrap it around the neck, you can't use the strap right out of the box. When I pointed this out to the seller, they sent me a link to a video that explains that it's normal for these guitars as people like to connect the strap in different ways depending on their style. Still, she doesn't even care about the strap right now, so that's a moot point. We rounded out the included package with a set of extra picks (they tend to disappear easily) and a little stand to store it on in her room. She is VERY proud of it, and can't wait to show it off to her classmates at school. Again, it might not be the best-made stuff around, but it makes her happy, and that makes me a happy customer.

GREAT FOR BEGINNERS!
If you're new, ALWAYS START OUT WITH A PIECE OF CRAP! I'm voting it a 5 star not because of how crappy made it is. The reason why i always want people to start out on this is because if you play this poopy thing for about a month (like me) and move up to a better beginner like the Epiphone DR-100, you'll be like HOLY CRAP I CAN ACTUALLY DO SO MUCH NOW! I learned stairway to heaven, I'd love to change the world, and a bunch of others in under 2 days because it was so easy when you step up to a new one from this piece of crap.I ordered the blue version, It came with blue spray paint INSIDE the sound hole (kinda bad & makes it incredibly ugly), the strings are about a centimeter above the fret board (very bad), it comes with a strap, but cheaps you out, only adds one strap holder, so BE SURE TO BUY A HEADSTOCK STRAP! There are NO inlays (the white indicators on what fret you're on), which is really really important for a beginner. The only thing really good about this guitar is that the strings are incredibly durable, but aren't good whatsoever. Ahh, i'm stupid for ranting about this guitar. For $35 it's a great buy to start off on! Please, oh please, only use it for one month. Do it for me.

Perfect for beginners!
I bought this for my son who had started guitar classes last fall. He started with an electric guitar and wanted to try the acoustic for a change. I didn't want to spend a fortune until I knew for sure it's what he wanted. This guitar is better for the absolute beginner. No experience with any other guitars preferred. It is on the cheap side, but you know that from the price. It was a little to small for my son who is 11, and the guitar came damaged at the bottom. None of the packaging was damaged, but the guitar had just enough of a bump on the bottom to cause it to not tune correctly. The sellers were fantastic and kept in great communication. They were able to resolve our issues swiftly. I would not hesitate to order this product for an age range of maybe 6-9ish with no experience.

4 stars contingent on PRICE.
4 stars contingent on PRICE. Jamez Gillman's video review is almost entirely consistent with my own experience. A few additional notes: This guitar will not play well out of the box! As Jamez noted the frets are rough and the guitar is strung with low-end steel strings; however, it really has a classical guitar neck. Hence, I removed the strings, sanded the frets smooth and replaced the strings with classical nylon strings. After doing so, the guitar played surprisingly well. It had a nice low light action (a very good surprise!) and the sound is tolerable - made better by the D'Addario Nylon Classical Guitar Strings (something I'll call imperative to make this guitar playable). Just keep in mind what this is - a very low end classical style guitar. I had a left handed child I wanted to teach and needed an inexpensive guitar I could convert to lefty, and this worked well. The neck is a little wide for a child, as it is in the classical style, be mindful of that as well. The bag is more of a dust cover than the kind of thing a kid could bicycle around with, the strap is light but fine for a child, the extra strings are ok for a student folk guitar (if you have another guitar to use them on), and as Jamez noted, the pitch-pipe is useless.Update: After three weeks, the guitar stays in tune and plays well. I polished the outside with furniture polish and it shined right up. Have to say, rather happy with how it turned out after a little tune up.

Its just a cheap guitar.
Its a cheap acoustic guitar for the beginner who just is trying to learn the basics, and it works wonderfully! The paint job is a little sloppy but the guitar is not there to look good. The one thing I did notice is that there are no dots painted on the neck to indicate the fret numbers. Other than that, Its pretty straight forward. It also comes with extra strings, a single pic, a pitch pipe (useless to me), and a garbage guitar-shaped bag. Mine did not come with a strap but I wouldn't use it anyway so i'm not upset.Overall, I think it is worth it if you are just starting out.
