Once I discovered the awesomeness of merino wool socks, my life changed. These socks are comfortable, and tough--I wonder If I'll every actually need to use the lifetime warranty?The best part of merino wool is that you can wear these bad boys all day, while working, hiking, or just as casual wear, take them off at night and hang the over a chair or a hanger or whatever...overnight they dry out and I swear you won't believe it--in the morning you can put them right back on, there is odor--at all. I can wear the same pair for up to a week at time, before I give them a break and wash them. All natural wool seems to be bacteria resistant, and doesn't like to grow on it. Unlike cotton or cotton blend socks, that stink to high heaven at the end of the day and just as bad in the morning.So while these are spendy, they are actually a great value considering how many times you can wear them between washings, are very efficient that way for travel socks, and with the lifetime warranty...they are simply the bomb.Once piece of advice...If you machine wash them (which is fine), pick them out of the clothes before loading the dryer, and let these air dry. I feel like they are a little more prone to shrink otherwise.Try them. These, which I have several pair, and any of the other Darn Tough socks. The are a game changer and over the long run, a way better value than cotton socks that stink after one use, and also don't last. With the warranty, these are lifetime socks.

Tremendous socks. I am on my feet 12 hours a day. These are the best socks I’ve ever owned. The mid-weight socks are perfect for my work boots. I chose the cushion option because they provide support to the heels, sole, and toes. The wool makes these socks very breathable…no sweaty feet.

Socks fit perfect and breathe well. Hiked with various boots and shoes, no blisters or slippage. Many miles, still holding together.

I bought these to wear for work. The boots I use have a safety toe and these definitely help cushion it. You would think that a year’s worth of hard use would wear out at least one pair. Nope, hasn’t failed yet! Winter or summer these socks keep your feet comfortable too.

So in short, these are great socks! I know what your thinking, how can someone have so much love for a pair of socks. I'm the kind of person that will go through a package of hanes or what ever brand of cotton socks in like month. They rip, they tear, they fall apart. My friend actually told me about this brand. Granted I haven't had all of them for a month yet. But I have a single pair I bought directly from Darn tough's site, which is about 3 weeks old now. They are still going strong.Just a note, these are a little tight, but most of the time you want that. I wear boots a lot and the last thing you want is a sock that is loosy goosy. I wear a size 14 Wide Wide, and these fit me well enough! (XL)

Hearing from a good friend about socks that are still Made In The USA I decided to buy a pair. Normally I don't hesitate to spend more money on expensive items for quality or assurance. The socks were thick to wear and can be used for all sorts of conditions, from casual use to work wear.The price is slightly higher than normal but the quality makes up for the price difference. The only real problem is that the socks need to be worn for a while to "break them in" as they'll feel a little stiff until they get a bit more easy to wear or feel on your feet.

In a nut shell:*Comfortable, even when spending all day on your feet*Cuts down on foot odor*Keeps feet at a comfortable temperature*Quality product that stands up to the test of time*Great warranty if there is an issueThe Long Version:When I first learned about this brand of socks I was blown away at the price, but my husband got a pair and as time went by I started noticing how fast his other socks wear out, especially as I compared them ever laundry day with his well his DT socks were holding up. We also quickly noticed that his foot odor, which can be considerable, isn't an issue when he wears these. Add the fact that they are more comfortable for him, year round and I quickly became convinced that these socks are worth the price. Over the last few years we've been slowly replacing all of his socks with darn tough socks, and we haven't yet had to use their warranty but I was impressed when I looked up the procedure how straightforward and simple it is.

These socks are comfortable, durable, protect your feet and wash and wear well! They keep your feet warm in the winter and help cushion your feet from rocks and tree roots in a trail! Great socks!
