Ive been hooked and eagerly waiting for the next sets to come in. It's great characters with a story-line that I can ease into. The kind of humor in the Chew series, is very palatable. If you like somewhat dark and corky humor, this series is a good fix for you! Review: Must Read Comic - I think Chew just keeps getting better. We get Chu and Colby looking into weird fiery letters in the sky while also investigating their usual bizarre cases. We get to see more of Chu's dysfunctional family as well as more of Savoy's activities and some other ongoing plot points. As always Chew has a great story thats allot of fun to read. Great characters, humor and action. Do yourself a favor and read Chew.

Anything goes in CHEW!
The crazy world of CHEW continues in this fourth volume of the highly acclaimed series. Very enjoyable, recommended for fans of Quentin Tarantino movies and other anything-goes type of fiction. Nothing else like it on the shelves!

CHEW keeps heating up
With stunning art and great visuals, as always, volume four has us on a slow burn. It's clear that with volume four, Layman and Guillory assume we've come along for the long game. The story tension and mystery of the alien writing grows in volume four with answers yet to come. I look forward to continuing on.

CHEW Continues to impress
I didn't really pay attention to CHEW when it first came out, but once I got to read a couple previews, I went out and bought Chew Volume 1: Tasters Choice . Since then, I have been loyally purchasing the CHEW trade paperbacks. The fear that the series would eventually jump the shark is just paranoia though... The award-winning team of John Layman and Rob Guillory are still killing it. If you've been enjoying the series, put your order in for Volume 4 and reread 1-3, so you'll be ready when "Flambe" lands on your doorstep. Enjoy! -samax GhettoManga Quarterly

CHEW is possibly one of the greatest comic series to be published in the last 10 years and this volume is another example of how good this series can be. If I had to make one criticism , it's that at 5 issue the story arcs don't feel long enough, however they do benefit from repeat reading. Fun, quirky and leaves a great taste in your mouth.

Everything about the Chew series is excellent - the humorous yet macabre storylines, the fleshed out and believable alternate world it is set in, the characters, the art, the writing... I could go on, but I think you get the idea. The only reason I didn't rate this as a five star item is because of the length - I find all of the issues quite small, with only five chapters (instead of the conventional six) per volume. That isn't to say that those chapters are bad, quite the contrary, it just leaves you wanting more and now that I am up to date with the comic, I know there will be a fairly long wait until the next issue. However the fact that it does leave you wanting more is a sign that it is a good read and the series is light-hearted enough to re-read several times anyway. As an individual story this volume takes an extra-terrestrial turn which could twist into an even sillier, but never over the top, plot line in the coming volumes. If you haven't read the first volumes, buy them now. If you have, buy this one now!
