Great product!
Finding these changed my world! I always resisted making my own hummus because of the work involved skinning the chickpeas. This makes the creamiest hummus ever!

Great for hummus
These are very useful for making hummus, as they do not have the peels they blend extremely well making a very smooth consistency

Using whole split peas is rather inconvenient. They take forever to cook and removing skins takes an age. After finally giving up with whole split peas I bought these to see if skinned ones can be better. They are! She's used these split peas in a number of dishes and I made some nice peas pudding which was just as good, if not better, than the tinned peas pudding. The quality of the product is good and given the quantity alongside the price this product is good value so I am recommending it.

This is one of the ingredients of the Trader Joe’s “Harvest Blend” which we cannot buy in Canada - it has worked out well and we are happy with our mixed blend.

I've been eating chana dal, for helping with my blood sugar levels, for several years, buying it from local South Asian dépanneurs. When boiled the chana dal, unlike the split yellow peas it looks like which become a mush, softens but retains a firmness. And far from its quality being "pathetic", Rani chana dal remains firmer when boiled. And it seems to lower my blood sugar even more. While it costs me about double what I pay locally, I think it's a better value for my health.
